This is amazing. It's almost EXACTLY like gaurdian. I love it, thank you very much. 5/5.

Problems:
- You cannot jump from the ledge into Gold room. [Last picture]
- You cannot get to where the bubble shield would normally be in Halo 3.

Undoubtedly the best Guardian remake in Reach, and I really doubt it'll be topped any time soon. A friend showed it to me a few days ago and I was amazed at not only this but some of your other work you haven't posted Nice job, very well done. Especially with S3, you did beautifully on the curved walkway up to it.

 

I agree 100% with MultiLockOn, this map is an absolute flawless remake of Guardian. During a few parts in the video I could have sworn I was looking at a gameplay video from halo 3; oh so many memories... Great job! a definite download from me xD

EDIT: are you submitting this for the forgotten treasures? You really should, this map deserves a feature.

I've been working very hard on remaking guardian recently.

I think I'll stop now. I don't really see a point, now that this is here. This is definitely a keeper. Keep up the good work!

 

I've tweaked the map to non mlg. It wasn't easy. Usually I have redundant parts to delete for extra parts/money, but not in this gem. It's definitely replacing what I had for a Guardian remake before, and I thought it was good. Awesome map.

 

Absoloutely amazing remake, very well done and you have even threw in a few aesthetics for us to enjoy! I have yet to play a game on this map, but I ran about and felt I was in Halo 3 again, a definitely great remake, which im sure will not be topped for a while.

Also get to posting Blukore, that map is FANTASTIC!

 

you can't make the jumps with the current mlg settings (v1.1)
-gay jump to gold
-bottom green to top green
-s1 to s2
Also the fps lag was quite noticeable when we played on it.

 

This is by far the best remake of the best map from Halo 3. It's a shame that it suffers from FPS issues. Also, some of Guardian's signature jumps (orange room to blue room and the rocks by a mancannon) are not achievable in this otherwise superb remake.

FPS

I was excited to have such a good looking guardian remake, but the FPS is a deal-breaker. I've only been forging a little now, but from what I've read here, the glass surfaced items are usually the big FPS offenders. If you get this playing smoothly I'll DL again, but for now its not playable.

 

Ive seen alot of remakes but this by far takes the cake 5/5 for me and a download

 

Wow, very aesthetic remake, but here comes the constructive criticism.

S3 looks too low IMO, from top mid's elevation, and the scene needs to be darker, maybe just next gen, heard green was too dark. You could also steal the idea of putting the green light into the scenery to make green... well, green, and yellow light to make gold, erm... gold. Just some tips for V2, or v3. Loved the teleporters in the top mid studs, very nice.

Oh btw, an s1 to s2 jump would require an actual ledge to jump on, otherwise noble 6's head would be in the s2 bridge.... just saying we can't make "actual remakes anymore.

 

great remake but you need to fix the jumps. and the FPS lag
but seriously great remake. this map gives Halo Reach some more hope

 

try remaking this in tempest instead of forgeworld! the frame rate lag will be alot less of a problem there and i know this map could fit in the sky there

 

This was a solid attempt at recreating something great, but fell significantly short of its goals. For some reason this map simply fails to capture the atmosphere that Guardian had. And the frame rate issues break it totally. I'm sorry to say.

This is the best guardian remake I've seen to date! I'll show it to some of my friends who are looking for a good one right now.
