It looks kinda open in parts. Also, as others have said, the swords are obtainable through grenade-jumping or butterfly jumping. It seems unlikely but it really isn't. :EDIT: No, the swords aren't past the invisible roof. They are they same height as the crane if you look and if you remember correctly, you can stand on the crane.
