Anyone going? If so, come say hi to me. I'll be the guy sprinting back and forth between watching them play Android on the Halo stage and watching Koreans commit atrocities against their opposition on the Starcraft 2 stage. For anyone who doesn't know, the event's this weekend, Friday through Sunday. broadcast schedule here. Tune in if you've got some downtime this weekend, you won't regret it. MLGpro.com
Did MLG decide to make HQ free? Did they decide to up their a-hole level and make you pay money to watch the stream in SD? Also, I just realized how dead this forum is. I had two of the more recent threads within a period of a month, which is pretty sad. I wish more people came here.
Haha, I'm actually going. Not to compete though. But my buddy is. When it comes to Starcraft II, they get insane. I never knew an RTS could be played like that, the last time I saw.
I watched a lot of the Reach stream from Columbus. When I get a break from work I'll probably tune in and watch a bit. Grats on getting Android in Ladnil!
Last event HQ was free because of the troubles at Dallas. This event those who paid for it either of the last two events get it free, or you can buy a full year for like $15 with their membership programs. SD is still free. IDK why people expect HQ free. I see the argument a lot that it "costs them nothing" to give HQ to everyone, but even if that were true, it still doesn't make sense. The whole point of offering HD in the first place is to monetize their stream some more. It's a virtual product, and just like any other virtual product, it obviously costs the company nothing to produce more of it, but the same rules don't apply to virtual products as physical products.
I could care less if HQ was free. I just wanted to know if it was. Either way, SD is watchable. And Roy is going to commentate next match? **** yes. Edit - Man, I never got to see Roy commentate. Sadface.
