Miningbros seems to be at a halt right now, though an official world is said to be up any time now. It's been quite some time since they've had one and I think that's why so few people are on it. But yeah, having a small group of friends on minecraft would be awesome. I've personally gotten sick of single player because it's gotten repetitive. Wish there were some items that took time to obtain.. like a parachute or something. And I'm too lazy to get mods.
That is now waiting until 1.2 so we can get jungle biome. And can't Blame the server for getting stale when things like plugins and server software don't updated with near the same consistency and frequency as the game is updated. If the egg heads at Mojang were to stop updating things every few weeks and save them up for every few months or longer things would go smoother for the multiplayer end of things. Also as far as there not being room to build without getting in someone Else's way, have you not seen the server map pic Dev took a while back? There is still heaps of unused space on the outer edge of it. In fact until me and Bisquit built a rail line connecting our two cities there was pretty much nothing in between them, and apart from the rail line, there still isn't.
You're acting like them giving us more stuff is a bad thing. Also, that land is unused for a reason. Nobody wants to build on land that's "okay." Gotta look for the super-mega-ultra-awesome looking land that everybody would admire just for the landscape. If it doesn't have an awesome landscape, you have to make it and it's a pain. After DB, I would rather not terraform extensively.
Giving us more stuff is not a bad thing, giving us more stuff in small spurts too fast for the secondary developers to keep up with is. Also there is plenty of land that is still super awesome. I've seen heaps that I would like to build in if I didn't have enough projects already. You just have to go look for it.
I don't play on the GoO server for two reasons. The first is that it's boring playing on a server that never gets reset or expanded upon, and I forget the second reason but it's really really obnoxious.
