trolololololololol For anyone else wondering, I didn't set it on fire. I'd downloaded a copy of the map to help Devinish find a suitable seed for the 1.0 update. Once we'd found one, I decided to set my local copy of Dutch Bohemia on fire and post pics for teh lolz.
Anyone know a good way to eliminate GPU fan noise, without changing the speed in BIOS? Preferably cheap, I may or may not have to get a new card. :/ I have been unable to record anything in Fraps as my computer's so loud it sounds like a jet engine. I'm running at a high speed right now to refrain from overheating, and corruption. Any ideas?
If you have liquid nitrogen that should cool it enough to make the fan unnecessary. Otherwise you can get as far as possible from the computer itself.
I don't, but I've known that the only way to remove the noise without replacing the GPU is to remove the GPU's dependency on the fan. My computer's whisper quiet without the fan. Apart from the GPU fan I have the mainboard fan, the CPU fan, the power supply fan, and an external fan facing the GPU. There is good air flow throughout the fan. If I were to mess around in BIOS what would a good start temperature be, and at what speed? I have looked on the interwebz for recommendations but can't seem to find any. Please help.
Also enchanting bows. Also, Dev says he may put the eggs up for sale in the server shop. So things like our Spleef tournaments will become very interesting indeed.
You can sleep through rain now =O [br][/br]Edited by merge: And I want a Pirate Texture Pack that goes along with the Pirate language.
That's a wonderful idea. Whenever bukkit releases the first stable build I'm going to do that on my server.
also, My city on GoO is done being dug and has a few houses in it now. Will post pics as soon as I get my main pc running cooler. CPU is running too hot while playing minecraft, so have bought a better heat sink and fan. Should be here tomorrow or monday. Tomorrow being saturday for me.
Uhhh.. how would i switch back to minecraft 1.0 instead of 1.1.. I would rather play on a server than have extra wool/enchant a bow/throw eggs.
Find someone who still has 1.0 and get them to send you their .jar file. OR, look in the bin folder for a file named minecraft1.0.0, and rename it to just "minecraft" and replace the current .jar file with that one. It should work, but back your **** up first.
Ahhh, that's simple enough. I found one online, all I lost were achievements I think. Luckily I don't use mods or textures. Thanks
This is so sexual it became funny again funny. And I also agree, its more fun to play on servers (most of the time)
Here goes. So I have two computers, one good and one bad. I've seen Minecraft vids and it looks good, so I might be considering getting it. I tried this once on my good computer and it wouldn't let me DL it due to some weird thing (IDK what it was, had to do with Java), so I said I'll just wait until it comes out for Xbox. I've been thinking about this, and I might consider getting it on my bad computer (bad because its a little slow). What should I do: get Minecraft now on my slow computer or wait until it comes out in the spring for Xbox?
