I need help. My minecraft FPS is like 10, it's irrational. My old build had 140fps, which was just a Dell Inspiron 518 with a Radeon HD 5670 added to it. (6 gig 800MHz RAM, 2.4GHz intel quad core, 5.4k RPM HDD @ 3GBps) This new build (16gig 1600MHZ RAM, 3.7GHX AMD Hexacore, 7.2k RPM HDD @ 6GBps, Radeon HD 6870) gets 10FPS?! What the ****? I've installed the 64bit java but minecraft won't run without the 32bit. The old build only had 32bit (both of them ran Windows 7 64bit). I don't ****ing understand. Help me please.
Do you have all properly installed hardware? You might not have all your RAM compatible with your board. Check task manager to see how much RAM minecraft is launching with. You can use an external program to launch minecraft with more RAM. (MCPatcher for example) Also try installing optifine. That would also boost your FPS. If all else fails try downloading the latest drivers for your hardware from the net. Hope that helps.
The hardware is properly installed, everything is registered at the specs it should be, when I built it I went through the list of drivers and everything. It's assembled for 3D animation and those programs recognize and utilize all of it and works amazing-fast relative to what I used to endure. It's only minecraft. I'm lost.
I had already posted that but yes its full of win. Also: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bflcVR5IurU&feature=related
Bugfixes and texture change for iron blocks. Some minor things like that. It's mainly them smoothing out the edges before they release it for real.
They've been in the game since i've been playing so idk... they probably won't add them to the map generation or crafting anytime soon or at all in my opinion.
I'm pretty sure I heard something about sea sponges a while back. If they're going to include sponge, you'll probably have to craft it.
Sponges have been in the game since Minecraft Classic, guys... They actually don't work in the Beta from what I understand. The water in Minecraft Classic had vastly different code than the water in the Alpha, and I don't believe Notch ever changed the sponge's code to work with it. At least not yet.
