I just think people should do a little digging before they make retarded accusations/assumptions that some people actually believe who spread misinformation to others.

 

I could've sworn notch said it himself in a commentary vid. My main point tho was that 1.8 doesn't come out for a little while yet :/

 

I'm actually pretty sure at PAX he said ti was going to be in 1.8 and 1.9 releases.

 

He did a quick interview with KOTAKU and said that it would be split into 2, (1.8 what was shown at PAX, 1.9 the rest)

 

Woot, who was right? xD

 

1.8 will have the everything minus those said features. The rest will be added in 1.9 which will be the rest of the game before release. That includes the nether update and possibly volcanoes and rainforests and more mobs.

He DID say during the stream when asked "What about the other features that were going to be in 1.8?" and he said "Oh, they will probably be in a patch or something like 1.8.1 or 1.8.2 and so on"

He just, changed his mind. again.

 

Eh, it's still beta, Notch can screw around a little yet

 

My projects of the moment:

Project 1: Clearing a 150x150x42 'cave' to build a township in

Progress thus far: top 2 levels done, 40 to go. All mined out by mostly myself with minor help from a few others.

Project 2: a Gothic Cathedral built in the Nether. Floor pad in progress.

are you doing it like a crater type city, or is it underground like mine is? Crater type as in nothing covering it all up.

 

completely underground.

Crater type may as well just be a normal one built into a valley...

 

Yeah, that was my philosophy on it too. Plus I intended from the start for it to all be indoor-like, so underground just makes it fit better with the environment.

I am curious to see what style you are going for though (architecturally)

 

Meh. I'm probably going to restart some my world in smp and just MCedit the stuff in come 1.8.

I spent my time at work yesterday making paper cutouts!



I took a box crafty thing off the internet and put the textures into it. If you want to make one, pics in the spoiler. Requires no tape or glue, just scissors and an exacto knife. Cut the white slits in the tabs and everything will work perfectly. I may do other blocks in the future. I want a slime one.
