YouTube - Minecraft with Mongoose and Stick I just had the worst Minecraft morning ever. I walked outside and I was immediately greeted by a creeper. I turned around and ran the other way just as another creeper crested the hill. To my left was a large forest full of zombies hiding under leaves, and to the right was a small cliff. So I run over to the cliff, drop down, and land on two skeletons who pepper me to death with arrows.

Eww, cobblestone. I was just playing on a PVP server that just started and I looted someone's furnace that was sitting in the middle of a beach. I now have a full set of iron armor and tools.
It's a castle, it's supposed to be cobblestoney. Besides, I'm working on a texture pack that makes cobblestone look.. Good? *gasp*
Ouch... That hurts my pride, a little... Thanks... I wish I could have my website/server officially recognized by Forge Hub but, I know that's not going to happen. Besides, having a place dedicated to Minecraft is better then a place dedicated to Forging on Halo. Also, some of my users I have don't even know about FH and just followed me from an old owner that wasn't the coolest person that he could be. You'll be happy to know that I'll be springing for an actual dedicated server pretty soon. Granted it will cost me an extra $70 a month I'm paying just for a cheap VPS. The server I'm looking at right now, will give me 2gb dedicated RAM for Minecraft instead of it being shared with other processes on the server. This new server/host will have Bukkit pre-installed along with quick install of the plugins I want. By the way, if you guys don't want to register on my forums that I/Pengy set up ALL for Minecraft then you don't have too. Just let it be known that you won't be allowed in. The whole reason I set up a website was so I could keep track of the users I allowed into the server and who was on the whitelist. (Because it is impossible to keep a whitelist updated if I didn't have a place for it.) When my host gets finished installing the plugins for Bukkit, I'm putting back up a clean whitelist with only the users I know that have an account and actually (somewhat) uses the forums.
I can see the pics just fine, weird. Not everyone wants to go to mining bros to chat about MC. As you guys assume that everyone goes there you think oh its just another forum. But why should we go to another forum that we aren't really associated with? I myself dont go on there much as I have my own server to run. So why should I have to go to mining bros? Because the thousands and thousands of people here don't allnplay Minecraft! It's simple as that! MiningBro was created so you can discuss all the different topics that Minecraft has to offer. There will NEVER be a Minecraft subforum here on ForgeHub.
Mining Bros was created for Matt to keep track of people on the whitelist. The community is just the people who go on that server. What if people dont want to go on Mining Bros because they don't go on that server? Im not trying to argue but people just assume that everyone goes on Mining bros and everyone wants to talk with that specific community. Im pretty sure people aren't going to talk with people on mining bros if they dont even go on that server. Whats so wrong about people wanting to talk about minecraft with the entire FH community?
Because it's more important for CaMOfo to keep advertising Mining Bros than to accept the fact that despite us saying we prefer options without leaving ForgeHub's forums, he'd rather keep throwing their site in out faces. I'm pretty sure if anyone of us wanted to join MiningBros, we'd have done it when we've seen the other 20 posts mentioning it's name in this thread. Apparently when you get to be 19 years old, you ignore the fact that people don't want to join the forum you're on and still keep trying to push it in their face... and then call people stupid because they don't agree with you, despite the fact he still can't grasp the concept of discussing minecraft on this forum with these people.

Yes, the Miningbros community is a good place to discuss Minecraft, but that doesn't mean everyone here needs to go there. It's not an "official FH server" (yet, who knows?). It's for Miningbros' community. Sure, who happens to be mostly comprised of FH people, Also, Im almost certain we won't have a board for a specific game (other then Halo) any more. We have threads for games specifically so that we dont have a obscene amount of threads (multiple games for different games). A minecraft group is ideal, since it allows for the organization of topics without having the inevitable spam disaster of making new threads on a board. Consider this a warning.

Very few people actually use groups. Groups is a bad idea. Why not just keep this thread the way it is.
cause discussion gets bogged down quickly by other discussions and the occasional "Look at what I built" posts.
Minecraft Group. Public group intended to provide a much more organized Minecraft discussion. It's there, if you choose to use it or not.
Matt's server is okay Some admins he has on that server are horrible... Seriously, this is why I prefer taco's server, you can have a fun unlegit time, with good admins. The server is evolving, but for now, I guess we are just having pure fun. Matt, I seriously think you should think second thoughts before adding your admins...
