This map, along with the gametype which supports it, essentially brings a brand new genre of gametype into Halo Reach: the large scale aerial battle. Midway has two bases, which are essentially hangars for aircraft. One hanger is in the "coliseum" and the other is in the tunnel leading to Hemmorhage, which the end is blocked off. Each team is outfitted with eight aircraft, a variety of anti-air weaponry, and teleporters leading to many defenses around the map. These defenses are strategically placed and usually have either a turret or an anti air weapon to defend against the enemy. The concept of the game is almost like a Star Wars space battle scene; a player starts in their hangar, takes off, and encounters enemy aircraft in a "battlefield" between the two teams' hangars. The object of the The Battle of Midway is to secure the bomb, located in the center of the Paradiso mountain, and detonate it in the enemy hangar. One often overlooked aspect to the gametype is that bomb carriers CAN fly aircraft, meaning it is often smart to have people defending the base. The key to the game is strategy; since each team has enough vehicles and weapons to last the entire game, people must decide how to use them well in order to not only secure the bomb but to protect the base as well. Midway and its concept are ambitious, but if sixteen people play an assault game on this map, I'm sure it will catch on. I will upload screenshots later on of some of what I believe are the map's best features, such as the many intricate defenses both team posesses.

This looks like a pretty good map. The forging is great, but the concept could be a little better. I mean the layout is not the best I've ever seen, but it definitly looks pretty darn good. 9/10.
