Well, after being bored all day and not being able to sleep all night I had a lot of time to think. I thought about how to merge crates with the map. So I tried it out with different objects and I finally found out that reciever nodes will do the job. So I took some pictures for your entertainment.

    Dumpsters work too

The crate will not fall even if you stand on it

It is a very simple thing to do.

    • Spawn a Crate
    • Set it to not spawn at start and set the respawn time to 45 seconds
    • Start a new round
    • Go over to where you set down the crate and spawn a reciever node
    • Guesstimate so that the reciever node is a little more than 1/2 the height of the crate
    • Use The Save Changes Floating Method
    • Start the game back up and then start a new round and wait for the crate to spawn. After it spawns set it to place at start and respawn time to 10 seconds.

If you don't start a new round in forge, it might not work. Now the crate can still move but it is not easy. If you have about 3-4 people stand on it sometimes it will sink down into the map then freak out and fly everywhere. This glitch does not work on the fenced areas in the middle of foundry and similar areas. You can use many different movable objects to merge but some are harder then others. The only problem I see so far is that if you push the reciever node too low (below 1/2 the objects height) that the object with float up on TOP of the node instead of under it.

The easist way I discovered to barely merge a crate with map geometry is to put a dumpster upside down where the crate will spawn then place a reciver node on top of the dumpster then delete the dumpster. This will make it practically immovable but still have the same height as a crate.

Does the crate have disturbance issues when it spawns like this? i.e. will it disappear after so many seconds just from being merged?

Not normally, but this does happen if you do it on the line of fence dividing Foundry.

Ok, cool. And thanks for posting this. I always avoided having to do this, because I wasn't sure it would work. Good to know that it does, though.

  7. Thanks guys for the good feedback. This method is very useful when you want to create small cover and when you do not want to use single boxes and other important objects.
