Yeah I debated replying to him last night, but there was too much anger in the thread already. Beside, that kind of idiocy is something you can't argue with. Whats with all the McCain supporters anyway? Even if he gets elected, he'll be dead by that evening. All the excitement and surprise will give the old bastard a heartattack. Anyway, Jim...if you are actually letting two people use your account, I suggest you don't. It gives both of you a bad name regardless of whos saying what.
Personal accounts of events can be manipulated greatly to change how a person appears. It isn't that hard at all. I'm sure a lot of that which was posted was embelished greatly. Remember, the more drama there is in a book, the more it will sell. So the truth in a book isn't as always true as we'd like to believe. That being said, I'm sure there is some truth to what was posted....but I don't think there is any way to distinguish the truth from the exagerations. Just so you all know, I'm a supporter of Obama. But I think you'd have to be a fool to believe every word of what Doug Thomson has written. His opinion of the man seems very biased, if not politically motivated.
Wow, this might as well be in the debate forum. Several things: Reynbow you are in NO place to insult American soldiers (Well really any soldiers at all. They put their lives on the line for their country and you sit there and ***** about them doing that. Out. Of. Line.) Second, you said that you don't want it to turn into an America v. Australia but then claim that he would "lose that one so fast". So basically you're saying you don't want to have that argument, but then attempt to start one. You seem blinded by your anger, where it may be from, I won't get in to. Now, comments on the election. I don't like either candidate. The word "candid" doesn't apply to either. McCain-by the jokes posted in the OP and other things-is not a great person to lead America. Obama doesn't have enough experience whatsoever. He came out of no where. I didn't like Hillary, but she looks like the best out of the three.
Come on man, we all have our flaws, but an aspiring president should not be telling racist jokes at meetings. I'm sure Obama has flaws too, but hopefully not as huge.
