With the budget glitch, roughly how large can a map be in the skybubble, in terms of existing maps (i.e. "roughly as large as the non-minefield sandtrap" or "a bit smaller than avalanche")? (without holes in the floor)
It's actually pretty hard for me to gauge. Sandbox's grid really seems to make the skybubble seem a lot smaller than it actually is. It's a big circle of a map, and from end to end, I want to say that it's about as big as the boundaries set out by Sandtrap. Sniping across that thing, you actually have to lead your shots a little...
I think he means how big of a map you could build without running into the OLN or Budget. If that is the case, I could not answer your question. I just began my map (now my xbox won't read discs however) and I have about $120 left after making a 2 tiered center portion of my map. However, I still all the default items that add onto the OLN unused which I foresee going a long way. In the end, however, it all is determined on the effectiveness of item placement. Are you utilizing the max amount of surface area for items? Do you use Large Blocks to create slants or do you just use the Wedged Blocks. All this factors into the final size, so if you want to make something big, use as much surface area on items as you possibly can that you can walk upon. But, if I did mean the size of the sky box itself, it's diameter is a little over twice the distance than from end to end on Avalanche diagonally Trust me, it's huge. I think it took me 18 seconds to fly around the circumference in a Hornet.
Just for clarification I was talking about what sweeny said first, about the largest possible built. My reason for asking was cause I wanna know just how large a tilted map could be.
