Buddy Jumps submitted a new map:

Mastery - A few of the hardest jumps on H2A packed into a fair and aesthetical obstacle course. Sweet jumps!

Cheap tricks ;) Or that feeling of pressure :) But yes your map is extremely hard. I like both types of maps personally

I see you agree with me about what some map creators deem "difficult", we claim to be unjust. Can't wait to check this out bro!

    You're welcome. Kappa.png

No need to feel bad about your own work, there is always room for improvement. I don't know your map, however, if you had the goal of making an extremely difficult jumping level and that's what you ended up with, then that is completely fine. Just don't expect a lot of people finding it enjoyable to play, that is all.

Always try to innovate. I simply find putting the same ten objects in a row bland and boring. If you want people to remember your jumping maps, they have to look good, have a good flow, maybe a little story and overally be unique in terms of the interactions and play spaces you give the players.

The jumping genre in Halo is quite a small niche, that is why I've always tried to make it more appealing to the majority of players (obviously, this map in particular is an exception and is aimed towards the highest level). Finding the middle way of rewarding players, not making them overly frustrated and at the same time trying to challenge their skills is quite a difficult task, which should not be taken lightly.

At the end of the day, it's all about what you want to achieve with your work.

100% I hate maps that provide me with the same jumps over and over. I honestly think that if you make a jump map, you need to make it well. Mine’s got a lot of individually hard jumps, and the fact that the entire map is about as frustrating as “Getting Over It with Bennet Foddy” really doesn’t help. I’m tempted to make an easy version that has checkpoints, but the entire map is made to be done in one go. I only feel bad cuz the map is an absolute pain and my co-forger and I are the only ones that have beaten it.

Well, do I know the people fit for the job, haha! They're always up for a challenge and are the best of the best at the moment.
Without seeing the map, I obviously can't tell at what level you two are as far as jumping goes, however I'm sure it will be beaten in no time. Before evaluating how difficult your map might be, you should always try to get it to as many people as possible, and also to the best people possible in terms of skill. Otherwise you live in your own bubble not knowing the whole scale and with that actually fooling yourself with a false skill ceiling.

Smokey Massacre, DHG Fireball and Ciren are off the top of my head excellent jumpers. There are more in that friend circle, but I don't know everyone with name anymore. I'll try it, too, with @Box Knows , if you want.

Just send them a message saying you've got a very difficult jump map that only got beaten twice and that I recommended them to you. Also, you could ask them to invite their buddies, too, which in the end gives you an even bigger audience.

Sounds good, I did get quite a few people to test the map and everyone else was unsuccessful. I might have to ask them. I could also get a few of the best H5 jumpers I know to try it.
