Apart from how bad a giant ring with nearly nothing else on it is for gameplay, the fact that it's just floating in a giant box and has no lighting doesn't really give the feeling of "a control room".
You know a map is going to be absolute fire when the screenshots have forge controls and you see floor blocks everywhere.
