March Madness UPDATE!: Due to the fact that I downloaded the Bungie gametype "HaloBall" I was able to better make this basketball game and it has been updated to accommodate this. All the good aspects of this game remain and the bad ones are taken out, and hopefully that will make this game even better! Thank you very much. With the Final Four match-ups between Butler-VCU and UConn-Kentucky swiftly approaching, I thought it was appropriate to create a basketball game, as I noticed it wasn't really in existence at the moment. Before I begin though, I'd like to mention that until I found this site, I had no idea the things you could do with Forge and how nice and great of maps you can make. I also found a lot of inspiration in this game from Revball and a "hockey" gametype. Basic Rules: -Score to 10 points on Halo (20 in a basketball game excluding the possibility of 3's). -Hit the ball into grav lifts to shoot them up toward the basket. -Don't score too quickly after you just scored, or your next points will not count, this wasn't done on purpose but admittedly I'm glad it exists like this, when you play the game you'll see why. -5v5, like basketball, is the most this game is meant to be played with, however 1v1 is perfectly acceptable, there are enough places to shoot from that even 1v1 games can be fun, but 5v5 is ideal because you can strategize with your friends on who can defend or attack or whatever. You'll notice the photos of the general layout have decorations for a basketball court on the ground whereas the gameplay ones do not, I added them in after the game for aesthetic purposes and reshot some pics from Forge, that is why it is that way) A couple overview pics Enjoy playing actually semi-realistic Basketball whether it's offense... ... Or Defense The main thing is, we had a blast playing this first ever game even with a shortage of people and the game was exciting. There were over 6 or 7 blocks, even a head block by me which is here: If you want to know, Blue Team (My team) won the game 10 - 9. It started off slow, then we gained some momentum going up 7-3. But then they got hot and scored 5 straight points making it 7-8. When they scored to make it 8-9, they had two or three opportunities to put the game away, including a shot that was blocked by yours truly. We scored to make it 9-9, and eventually to make it 10-9 and win.
