DOWNLOAD MARBULL HEAR DOWNLOAD UPDATED MARBULL HERE Inspired by Furious D 18's Unchained but in the end turned out nothing like that. instead it became a grate close range hyper battle on a Simply Complex Map. UPDATE I updated this map took away alot of grenades moved the BR Shotgun ammo is has no extra clips there is only one lay out change in the bottom room there is now a telaporter that leads to the stairs so you dont get cornered Marbull is short for more bull ... sort of Plays with all gametypes Top Floor Weapons Battle Rifles x2 Assault Rifle Power Drain Mid Floor Weapons Spikers x2 Magnum Plasma Pistol Brute Shot Plasma Rifles x2 Neddler Carbine Stairway Weapons SMGs x2 Battle Rifle Bubble Shield Bottom Floor Weapons Battle Rifle Assault Rifle Sentinel Beam Regenerator Down the hole theres a flame grenade and a Shotgun The Shotgun has no spare clips Around the corner there is a teleporter that leads to the active-camo this might seem unfair but Theres not much chance you will survive the trip The teleporter also leads to the defenders flag before Update After Update To make a quick escape when cornered it dont take you far but you are now safe... sort of Note: This is the first time i posted a map so tell me id i did anything wrong
This map looks amazing. I'm a sucker for interlocking, and I can see a ton of it from the pictures. I'm definitely going to download this map (and not even because you pimped my map in your thread). Well you asked for it: You misspelled "HERE" at the top of the page. Hear means to listen, here means go here to download. Also you misspelled "great" when you said "it became a grate close range battle." Great means extraordinary. Grate means a metal mesh thing. Finally, in the quote above you said "id" when you meant "if". Those are the only things I see, and they are very minor.
This does look amazing indeed. I need to get on Halo specifically so I can play your map. Good job setting an example of how to make a great Foundry map. Well done.
Dang! looks very clean, and I love the pallet floor in the basement. It makes it look not-in-foundry, which is good for a first map. I'll definitely check this baby out.
Any person who puts a sentinel beam in there map is my hero. I like the complexity, and the basement with the teleporter. The aesthetic appeal of the pallets is nice, and a tip, put a space between every picture, preferably with a little description in each. Pass/Fail? Pass, 95%.
Very nice interlocking, this map must have taken you a while to make and it looks like you used some other advanced forging techniques such as merging objects with map geometry! It must have taken you a long time to plan out and make so you can count on a download from me! Props.
Very Nice! (In Borat acccent) You posted you map perfectly there are no mistake except for some typos. Map looks very very fun and creative. Good job. Dowloading
My first impression: "...it became a grate close range..." I'm just messing with you, it's a fun and neat map.
Spartan, I got a chance to actually play a couple of games here. First, very nice map. The layout is unique and it made me forget I was playing on Foundry (and that is always a good thing). The map layout is simple and complex at the same time. I instantly learned the main parts of the map, but that path to the camo is unique, inspired, and creative. Drop down, teleport up, drop down again. Now on to the critiques. Keep in mind that I wouldn't bother posting suggestions if I didn't like the map. First, there are too many grenades. One point I looked up and I had pretty much one of every grenade (was missing 1 firebomb). That should never happen unless you're on a killing spree or something. The grenades were so abundant that me and my enemy stuck each other at the same time more than once. Especially with the bubble shield there, the stickies are really powerful in such abundance. I suggest deleting one nade in every spot that you have 2. Second, some of the weapons were redundant. There were two BRs next to each other up top and two brute shots in close proximity. I think you could trim those down, maybe putting a needler or a plasma pistol in there somewhere for variety. Third, although I like the layout, it's a little annoying to be cornered in the bottom area. I think that the best maps have multiple ways in and out of any area. Or at least any area that you'll spawn in. When you design future maps (and you totally should, you're good at it), try to include multiple exits. Fourth, this map could really benefit from respawn areas. I'm not going to go into too much detail about them now (maybe I'll write up an article), but the respawns in my games were really predictable. That's bad for game balance and it makes the map get old quicker. I think everyone should play at least one head to head match here, with no motion tracker of course. This is what people should be making, not the billionth boxy Foundry map. Great job Spartan!
I got to try this out as well. It's a great, great map. Small, but when you go into detail like you have you can't make it much bigger. Like Furious said, you should tone down the grenades. There are way too many. I'd even cut off more than he suggested. I still love the pallet floor, even though it does create some unnecessary jaggies when you walk over them. And I'm not sure what I think about the shotgun/invisibility combo... It's such a small map. One of the guys I was playing with (Turbo Gerbil) made the same comment about the linearity of the map as well. It'd be hard to deal with a guy coming from the top with a brute shot. I'm not sure I'd make any drastic changes to this map. It's really good as is. But I can't wait to see what you do next.
The grenade thing was one of the major complainants when testing but i was too lazy to change it at the time I only remember put one brute shot so only one must have died with witch means i have make the respond time later i think respond areas will help but not much cuz if u dont spon upstairs then you spon downstairs thx 4 the suggestion, appreciate it
Damnit, you guys beat me to it, I wanted to try it out and review it too but... I will probably end up agreeing with furious... u fargin bastages... anyways i will still do it out of the kindness of my heart (lmfao)
I put the shotgun there mostly for defence cuz when ever i go down there 3 guys follows me and one guy shooting me from the side but your right if they do get both it is really unfair so what i think ill do is lower the clips so it dose give them a advantage but it wont last that long same with the brute shot
If I remember correctly, they are both up top. One is in the corner behind the hole you drop down to get the shotgun. The other is leaning up against one of the fence walls that divides the top room from the stairs. Although I could have just been seeing things. I didn't actually fly through this one in Forge like I usually do to review maps. My buddy was online so I figured we'd just play a game or two there and I'd get an even better feel for the map. So I was running and gunning, and may have thought I saw two when there was only one. Can anyone check that out for me?
