In an effort to get away from the Forge World aesthetic, I've been isolating structures on other maps and setting them up for small FFA or 2v2 games. So far I've seen a decent amount of success. Just The Tip is already +800 downloads. Haven't seen as many on Stockyard despite the (IMO) better aesthetic, but I attribute that to the bland name. Suggestions are welcome for that. My real issues are the structures on Breakneck. I've walled off three buildings; Hardwood, The Gallery, and Monolith. (The names are just placeholders at this point) I'm having trouble deciding if these are actually big enough to use for anything beyond 1v1s. "The Gallery" seems to have some promise, but the other two I really don't know about. I'll see about getting some screenshots up soon, but it's kind of hard to effectively capture the amount of space available. So should I bother completing them, or scrap them as being too tiny?
No, I'm seriously considering scrapping Monolith and Hardwood - maybe all three. They're nowhere near playable yet - just basic structures and some weapons laid down to give me a sense of flow. I haven't sunk any time into tweaking or laying spawns or anything yet.
Well, I wouldn't mind name suggestions for Stockyard, and I figured I'd include everything because I'm trying to put together a few good 2v2 maps for a little Non-Forge World 'Map Pack' sort of thing. In the context of something like Sword Base or Guardian all of these maps are tiny, but compared to each other it's not so drastic.
You made canvases then placed some spawns weapons and killzones. Now you're asking us if the maps are too small. Figure it out yourself. qft
When you post the pictures of Stockyard tell me. I might be able to help with a name and/or a description.
