Alright so I've had this map idea since mid summer and I never got around to building it or making the gametype. So, Forge Hubbers, I am leaving this one up to you. It's an idea that few would think of, but yet has endless ways to execute. The perfect way is for you to decide. I am throwing this 3 word map idea out there to let your imaginations go wild. I'm curious to see what maps the community will make from this, but tell me, in the first minute of you thinking you'll have tons of ideas about it too. Now for me to actually tell you what the idea is... Note: After you have read it, wait for about 30 seconds for your mind to overflow with ideas, then post. Spoiler Save The Princess Now some may think "what a stupid idea, nobody will want to build a map with that"... But, I have talked with a few fellow forgers who also had many ideas for it. If executed properly it will be the next famous mini-game. So, let your imaginations run rampant and start building those maps.
Im assuming a VIP gametype on asset like maps BUT in this you would have to get the "asset" first before bringing them to the destination. 3 words... Oh My God! If you want I could setup the gametype for this, maybe even help out with a map if you're thinking of making one. I am definately in on this one.
I'm going to sit out on making a map for this one. I had a concept where there were 3 towers, the first one was just filled with obstacles, the second was a very open, ground floor only tower in which the knights would have to battle a dragon (person with flamethrower and firebomb grenades with 2x overshieild) and the 3rd tower would have obstacles where you had to ascend the tower then rescue the princess from there. ... As I was typing this I started a mental sketch of the goddamn map I wanted to make and I kinda want to again, but I wanna see what others can come up with. I may still make a map, but I doubt I'll release it for a while.
I have an idea for the gametype, have it where one teams VIP gets put in a tower, with the other team guarding the tower, a VIP kill gives you negative points, and the Attackers(who would actually be defending the VIP) would have to defend the tower while the Defenders(once again Vice Versa in the actual game) would have to get the VIP and take them to there spawn
Nice idea, sort of like ctf except spawning seems complicated if not impossible. I tried a mini of this once to see if it might work for a larger map I was working on; however the "princess" becomes bored and often quits during the game causing a ramdom defender to become the VIP. Possibly in the destination.
