I know most of you remember me from halo 5 hate threads but I need opinion on my next map I'll create called Primal a small tropical island for 4v4 slayer, strongholds, CTF and infection. Vehicles- Banshee- slayer neutral vehicle Warthog- strongholds neutral vehicle Wasp- CTF neutral vehicle And the power weapons Slayer- sniper, speed boost CTF- fuel rod Strongholds- beam rifle, damage boost The map will have a cluster of trees and a beach and a small cliff. Foreunner structures will be the middle of the map and the banshee plateform. Home bases Red beach will have a crashed sub and blue cliff will have a crashed pelican. Plus I'll make it have no sprint or any abilities. Weapons- H2 Br x2 AR x2 DMR x2 Light rifle x1 H5 br x1 Frags x4 Splinters x2 Plasmas x2 Plasma caster x1-Slayer Hydra x1-CTF Grav hammer x1-strongholds Any other ideas about it?
Just make sure your layout compliments these weapons/vehicles and that the forerunner structures aren't bland and generic *cough* copy CE *cough*
Hard to imagine map layout just from your description but so far my only concerns are the neutral vehicles. What are their counters? Plasma pistol is an easy go to of course or kinetic bolts on BR or DMR. Otherwise with a 4v4 gametype it seems like it'll be a slaughter with a banshee or wasp in the air
Three Plasma Pistols on a 4v4 seems a little high - might want to consider two (1 per team). I do like the idea of neutral vehicles as a power weapon on a 4v4. They can be hard to balance, but they do bring a unique flavor to a map.

It's certainly a concept. I think you could probably stand to work on it quite a bit more. As a sort of guideline, try making it into a map you'd want to play on matchmaking. Try making it look like it wasn't even built in forge, like it was included in the game from the start. You've already started working with colors and FX which is a great first step, so try focusing on other things like aesthetics, or structural design - what makes a halo map fun to play on in matchmaking? What do you like? Sniping? Give it long sight lines, but with enough cover that it's still a challenge. Shotguns? Give yourself some close quarter areas! Or, if you don't want to make a balanced map for something like slayer, try going the mini game route - design a map that is completely built around shooting each other while you run around at 300 mph and try not to fall off the edge, for example. I'm sure you can come out with a great map!
