I've been wanting to design a mini-game, but I haven't found any inspiration.

Yesterday morning, though, we were reading this short story in class, and I had an idea for a mini game. I believe the story was called Case of Amontillado.

In the story, the protagonist ends up trapping a drunk noble in a niche in a small, dark catacomb underneath his home. He then proceeds chain him to a wall, and then starts building a brick wall in front of him, insuring his death. Apparently, the story was set in the middle ages, and Fortunato, the antagonist, insulted the protagonist's family.

The mini-game would take place on Foundry. Everyone has one life. The humans would spawn behind a few walls of pallets, the 'chains' they would have to break through in order to escape. They would also run slower than normal, and they would spawn on custom power-ups, giving them temporary low gravity, giving them no choice but to break the pallets.

The zombie would spawn in a room above the humans, with a vehicle with pushing power (Warthog, Chopper, maybe Wraith) and push moveable objects down a slot, making the 'brick wall,' fencing the humans in. When his dirty work was done, he would proceed to grabbing some sort of power weapon, and then jumping down a small hole to where the humans lie.

I've seen other mini-games with warthogs that push moveable objects, but none like this. Correct me if I'm wrong.

    So... Input?

Interesting idea and its the Cask of Amontillado.

So essentially you need to escape an area before becoming trapped? I think that it should be like you said an enormous two layered circular room. Small niches along the walls designed for one person. They should have to break say a barricade(takes longer, so its actually a challenge) making the things fall out of the way.*

The zombie on top should walk slow and need to push dumpsters down a slot to box them in one at a time. There should also be pointless slots to make it harder for the zombie. Then at say 2 minutes your time to escape is up and the zombie throws grenades that then spawn down a chute to kill you. Once out of the room niche you should be safe.

    * the hole could be slightly too small for the barricade. Crates or something thinner are on top so when you break the barricade, they fall and open the door. Rough idea but an idea none the less

Yeah, essentially, you've got to escape an area before it gets blocked off, and then the zombie comes down from above to finish you off. I'm not quite sure how the barricades would work, if you're talking about those concrete ones. I'd have to give the humans, like, instant kill, to be able to break those. I haven't played on Foundry in a while, with the addition of Sandbox, and all.

It seems like the barricades you have in mind are harder to break, but I don't remember any others besides the concrete ones.

I should have posted this, but I was thinking about making it a tunnel that would run maybe the length of Foundry. Possibly not, though. At the end, there would most likely be a teleporter leading to where the zombie is. This is a rough idea, indeed. The more I think about this, the more of a pain it would seem to plan.
