Map and Gametype Idea - Dead Space

    Ah, not the most original idea, but I have been sitting on this one since my hiatus. Now, lets start off with the gametype

    GAMETYPE

    -Name- [NAME PENDING]
    -Survivors- Survivors start with a magnum pistol. Their walk speed is reduced, sprint speed is reduced, and Spartan Abilities are disabled. Their melee damage is doubled. Survivors cannot jump at all, and must use map features to traverse vertically. They have a waypoint marker visible to Infected. Health regeneration is disabled
    -Infected- Infected have normal gravity and jump height, along with clamber. Walk and sprint are reduced to slightly lower than the survivors to make up for the speed boost given by the energy sword. Infected can thrust, though is use is a bit more limited and the distance is much shorter. They have 300% damage resistance, no shields, and 25% melee damage reduction. They also have assassination immunity as well. The Alphas are given 1 plasma grenade, but grenade damage and radius is heavily reduced, requiring Alphas to stick a target and then finish them off. All Infected have a 90% visibility modifier, so as to counteract the typical 'glow' of players. Health regeneration is disabled

    MAP

    -Name- [Name Pending]
    -Style- Map is made in a linear infection format that necessitates back traveling through at least one section.
    -Notable Features- Map includes a vent system that can be traversed only by Infected. Vents must be activated from inside to destroy them, with a faint red glow appearing to warn attentive Survivors, a la the Dead Space games. Vents break with an explosion sound effect, so an Infected's entrance via the vent system is not stealthy, unless an Infected enters ahead of the Survivors. Map Includes objectives, though these can vary. Objectives must be completed within the time limit of a round, which can vary, or Survivors will all be killed and the round ended. Map will also feature large rooms where a quarantine event is triggered and the exit or objective is not available until after a variable time limit. The entrance shall also be closed, though a survivor can stay outside of the room during the quarantine and regroup with fellow survivors once the quarantine has finished. A quarantine is signified by a rooms lighting being that of a spinning point light cone that provides poor illumination and does not light the entire room at once. An alarm shall also sound off, and all doors in a map shall closed and unlocked doors shall lock. Such large rooms will have at least two separate levels that must be traversed by lift or stairwell for Survivors, and have climbable areas for Infected should above levels be reached exclusively by lift or if said levels have open sight lines to peer down on lower levels. The map must also include locked doors that require a puzzle to be solved in order to be opened.
    -Other Features- Maps are to include a minimum of one weapon that can be picked up, though the weapon itself can be obtained by any method, preferably a puzzle or optional area, and can be REQ and glitch weapons. Maps should also preferably have a limited use health station where health can be restored by Survivors. They may also optionally have a Store where weapons and equipment can be bought through any means, such as grenades or power nodes. There must be some rooms without vents and enclosed by doors on both sides, as to provide a somewhat safer area for Survivors to reduce tension before being led into a challenge, such as a quarantine.

    ENDING THOUGHTS

    Tbh, not sure if this would really work, but having a good reimagining of Dead Space in Halo 5 would be pretty cool.
