Malatose is a symmetrical mirrored map made for CTF for larger teams but im hoping it can support 4 v 4s up to 8 v 8s. It has not been tested yet, and I have hit the OLN, so changed are going to be hard. I just wanted a review on aesthetics and placement so far. One thing, the base's look shexy so really good job on that 2nd thing, along side the base's you pimped out what seems to be a Outpost. that just looks tight. 3rd thing, all of the above along with the whole is tight. 5/5 really good looking map, best map ive seen in a while.
Thank you very much, The bases have a 'mini base' by them which you could call an outpost which houses a sniper.I just need testers and it will e posted on competitive when and if any changes are done after first tests.
I Love the map But one thing really killed it for me you now those ramps that you have going to the top of the bases I think they ruin the whole map. So thats why my rating is low 3.5/5
Looking good so far. Looks like a pretty vehicle based map. Either way the map is looking good so far, just add some aesthetics here and there along with some kind of structure somewhere and the map will be pretty fun. Good luck.
Well I have hit the OLN because I started this way before I knew about the OLN canvas and I can't really make room for structures. The ramps are to creat another entrance to the base as it is pretty easily defended but it also provides the defenders another way to defend, and with the lack of cover it gives it a risk vs reward for being up there. Also may I ask how the ramps ruin the map? I think they are a great addition!
Ha, if you think this is tight, stay "tight." Haha guys... This is decent. The only problem I have with it is the actual pieces used. Unless there is a real reason for the tube pieces (like secret safe-spot), then I see no reason to use them for it. You might as well use blocks... I also saw the tower with a platform covering up the tube pieces.... That should DEFINITELY be changed. If you want to see some examples, hold yourself together until I release my custom map pack .
Those bases are incredibly far apart and there's huge gaps in between them. Just because you want it to be a vehicle map doesn't mean it should be boring for people on foot.
The lines of sight are too large between the bases and there are, as Vincent said, huge gaps. It needs to be balanced between the walkers and the vehicles and as of right now, judging by the screenshots, it's heavily leaning toward the vehicles in terms of which could control most of the map.
