ATTENTION: It is still a work in progress but I feel more comfortable releasing it to the public for today for stress testing. That should open up a thread in which the Forge Bot will discuss making maps with you . A few guidelines: - If you get a bad answer, try asking the same question a different way. - Be specific but not too specific. Don't ask it a broad question like "How do I make a Forge Map?" because map making has a lot of components that need to be taken into account. Try asking it "How should I place the spawns on a map?" or "What type of cover should I add?", etc. - Keep in mind that I am still updating its database so it knows some subjects related to level design much better than others. Also, this is a work in progress so it will probably give you inconsistent answers or will start looping in a subject at some point but keep trying. This bot has lots of information to provide. You need to try to understand its line of thinking when you are chatting with it. The bot is very context-dependent so you want to include details in your responses to make sure its not confused. Otherwise you will get more wrong answers or loopy answers which can be very frustrating. As you can see in the pictures provided I was careful to ask my questions in a way that minimizes confusion and as a result I have managed to establish a train of thought over the course of different subjects of level design ranging from planning to aesthetics to gameplay mechanics. I have been manually feeding it data for a month and it is an arduous process. I had to read every sentence from reliable sources to make sure it made sense and I would add that to its database to improve its competence. I basically consolidated a lot of multiplayer FPS level design data into a chatbot that has it all stored in its database. Its like opening a book and having that book rearrange the words in a way you can understand. The idea is to help you at every step of the map design process. In order to determine the usefulness of such a chatbot, I evaluated it by taking note of how many good answers it provided. The goal would be %85 or higher. On my most recent thread, shown on the pics, it answered 87/99 questions correctly, meaning it answered approximately %87 of my questions properly. So try it out, follow the guidelines above and think carefully what kind of questions to ask it. And try to be a little bit patient. It is still a work in progress.
