I was interested by the new H3 trailer, so I did a little searchin' and this is what I found. An MS rep has stated that Bungie plans to make a major Halo 3 announcement at TGS regarding the recently announced expansion. Remember, last week, the "Keep it Clean" teaser was released, showing a futuristic city being destroyed by missiles. Then there was the whole "Madddie, where are you" controversy, but that is another news post. So far, the only official info we have from MS is "High action and deep mystery await players in this new Halo 3 campaign experience." Hopefully, next Thursday at TGS we will get all the info we need. This was posted today(October 2), and TGS as mentioned is next thursday. I personally think it will be an expansion pack, similar to the one for halo 2 with the online maps(but for people that didn't have live). Except it will come with new campaign as well. Might be released on market place or disc...i dunno. Guess we'll have to wait until next thursday to see! Yes there is a thread discussing this. Its a very interesting thread, more people should reconize it. Sorry but they have everything wrong. Futuristic=Wrong Missiles=Wrong The city was New Mombasa, one of the maps where he Halo 2 campaign was featured on. The missiles were ODST drop pods. The explosion was cause by The Prophet of Regret' ships jumping into slip space during one of the Halo 2 split scenes. Heres the original thread disccusing this teaser video, with an analysis video explaining everything I just said.
