This is just a generic thread about the TCG Magic: The Gathering. I was wondering if anyone either plays the online version or the actual version with concrete cards. Particularly people who play the concrete version, because that's what I play. I wasn't sure if this should be in Gaming discussion or what, but yeah. Right now I'm running a Green/Blue deck with mostly green infects.
Moved to Gaming Discussion, seeing as it's a game n stuff. Also, you can play this with concrete cards? **** must get heavy.
It's nothing, really. They started using lighter materials in the newer expansion sets to draw in a larger crowd.
I kind of still play. After seeing what the new stuff (like Eldrazi, the new Vampires, the ridiculous landfall abilities and infection) I've kind of lost interest because all the new stuff is SO OVERPOWERED in mu opinion. I started playing back when 7th edition hit, I think I was in 6th grade and every card I have accumulated over the years is worthless against this new stuff. I mean come on: Emrakul, the aeons torn. Legendary Creature - Eldrazi Emrakul, the Aeons Torn can't be countered. When you cast Emrakul, take an extra turn after this one. Flying, protection from colored spells, Annihilator 6 When Emrakul is put into a graveyard from anywhere, its owner shuffles his or her graveyard into his or her library. Yes it costs 15 mana (colorless none the less) but it's so easy to get that much mana with Eldrazi because you can sacrifice Eldrazi spawn for mana. And personally, the annihilator ability is broken, I mean that **** beats darksteel. And that's just one of the multitude of ridiculous Eldrazi cards. Don't even get me started on landfall... /rant.
Yes I agree on some of that but I use infect in my deck and it all depends on how you play. Things can be countered and stopped. And when I say concrete I mean cards you can touch not digital ones.
Yeah. I caved and bought one of the infect pre-built decks that came out and then a friend got me another as a joke so I combined them into one and it's a blue/black infect/proliferate deck. It works okay. It needs some fine tuning but I'm not willing to purchase the singles needed to make it amazing.
