Lucrative V1.1 Created by: myself (AKA l SilenceMmk l) Map Variant: Lucrative V1.1 (<--- That's the link) Gametypes supported: Team Slayer, Team CTF, and Team oddball Players: Two teams of 8 maximum I've made plenty of screw around slayer maps before, but Lucrative is my first attempt at a serious based map. The map is mainly symmetrical with a few minor errors here or there. There are only a few weapons, and most with only limited rounds. The map is located in the main area of Foundry with the back area blocked off. There are two main bases. There are several tactical jumps that can be performed to get you to higher areas in the level. I do realize that the wall blocking off the back area is poorly put together, but I ran out of alot of necessary materials to make it look great. Hey, don't blame me, blame Bungie for their limits on items..... Weapons: 3 BRs 2 Carbines 2 Snipers 2 Maulers 1 Shotgun 1 Plasma pistol 2 Magnums 2 Brute Shots 1 AR The weapons are spaced out evenly, with the odd numbers being basically in the middle of the map. Well, I guess I'll just go ahead and dive into some pictures...... Base A: Base B: Wider view of Base B: Wider view of Base A: View of my crappy back wall: A better look into one of the bases: View of natural Foundry wall: For the most part, I'm pretty happy with the outcome of the level, and although my wall looks bad, it's basically inescapable. I hope that if you do find the time to download the map, that you enjoy it and have some fun with it. P.S. don't ask about the name, it was a vocab word last year....
i actually really like the middle thing, only if you could get it geomerged in the wall...to make itsmoother ya know? 3.9/5 overall
Its well forged but what sets this appart from other competative maps? I think it lacks orriginality and that really needs to be worked on. Your forgeing skills could be put to better use try to challenge yourself.
Your map looks pretty simple, but that is fine. Some more info about weapons might help a bit. Your interlocking looks pretty solid though. BTW your base A and back wall pictures are the same.
This map is amazing! I love the idea and the center structure. This whole map is very well built and the gameplay seems very smooth. The picture of your back wall is not working which I assume is a good thing because the rest of the map is awesome. I love symmetrical maps so this appeals to me. 5/5, Keep Forging.
I dont like it because its 1.) too open. and 2.) has no aesthetics from what I can tell :/ reminds me of every other average foundry map :/
I see very little merging and no geomerging correct me if I'm wrong and it just way to open, but I like the bases. 3/5
Wow. This is spookily similar to my first ever Foundry map (Which was scrapped before I'd even heard of Forgehub). Granted, it's Infinitely cleaner and much better, especially in the realm of construction. I'm not too psyched about it, but that's just me. It does look like it has enormous potenial though (maybe a V2?)
Thanks for all the feedback, I'll be sure to work on the stuff you guys mentioned in my next map. ANd as for the merging and geomerging, at first I had a crap load of geomerges, but I had to scrap all of it to put up the back wall, and there is a good amount of merging and a small amount of geomerging still in the map
