I was just wondering is it possible to do loop on a racetrack. Im in the middle of making a racetrack and I thought it would be cool to have a loop. I was curious so I spent a few minutes on making one and I got the mongoose up to half way on the loop. I was thinking that it could work if you used man cannons to push you up the loop and grav lifts to stick you to the track. Comment on if you think it possible or impossible but please give a reason why.
People have tried and mostly failed for the fact that once you reach a certain angle you just fall. I recommend making the loop thin with railing and mancannons merged to the near surface of the loop. Make sure though that it's merged to keep it stuck to the loop and will push it forward, not backwards.
Iv had this idea as well but i found that you have to be exactly precise, a ghost worked amazingly well. it went all the way around but the mongoose got almost to the downward slope and fell.
At a certain angle of elevation vehicles react similar to being dragged on the ground in forge. I find that the steep elevation starts to act as if it were a wall. It has been done using man-cannons to force the vehicle through the loop, but most of them simply throwing the vehicle into a uncontrolled roll, which has it's novelty, but really isn't efficient with forgehub's standards of a racetrack. Maybe using a different vehicle, like a prowler, and maybe using the tin cup's magnetic abilities could create a cool loop effect, but I haven't tried that. Experiment, it couldn't hurt.
I just thought of something. What about making it a gaped loop? You go up to about the angel the vehicle acts as if it hits a wall, then you shoot across a gap and start the downward accent. 0_o i think im going to go forge it and see if it will work.
This might actually work. I've tried making loops on racetrack, no success. But I'm pretty sure the smaller it is, the better effect you'll get. And although it seems like they would, choppers fail at loops. Try making a loop purely from tin cups. Note that some vehicles don't move when they're on top of 2 tincups though
