You could easily make the background transparent.
And the whole things' edges are getting cut-off.
If you dont know how to do transparent, ill do it for ya.

Its just the way he made it. Im pretty sure u cut the edges off on purpose? I like it looks good.

But I think it looks so much better not cut-off.
A logo should be fully rounded off for a proffesional look.
