I guess because, he created a square in a circle were created as two seperate objects and he decided not to blend the two together. But its impossible to made a squared circle, because circles have no sides. I dont know maybe he forgot about it?

Funnily enough, squared circle is a nickname for a wrestling ring.

No its not, it's perfectly valid. Can god make "A" not "A"?

"God isn't ominpotent because he can't make a squared circle"

    Happy now?

I really wasn't headed in that direction but sure, if you want to make it go that way. But I'm fairly certain I've already refuted omnipotence in my blog but let's keep going with this.

Is it not disconcerting to you, to know that the god that created the universe, even reality itself, is limited?

Maybe he already has made a squared circle and it's merely referred to as a square.

Just because I can kill someone, doesn't mean I will. Does that change the capability I have? No.

If you'd like to use the proper theological definition for omnipotence I can look it up for you. Stop using merriam's.

What direction did you want this to head?

Lol at the rest of this argument, it's rather pointless.

Yeah, pretty much. The rest of us are chirping our heads in and out while you and Nitrous debate.

This can be compared to that one question: what happens when bomb that can destroy anything hits a building that I'd invincible?
The answer is simple. For this question to be true, one or both of the items cannot exist.
Technically, we as humans created the circle and the square. He could easily make one, but most of us would most likely not consider it a square or circle based on our definition.

This may have been a joke thread but I decided to answer it seriously.

You just took it in the direction I wanted to go. I'm really just using you guys as a trial run for the real thing later on.

So god can not make A not A because he is subject to his nature. This follows the idea that god can not lie because it is within his nature not to lie. This is just a semantics game. According to your world view before anything existed there was god and god was existence. God was all that there was. So when you talk about god's nature you are really talking about the nature of existence. When you say god can not create a square circle because its not in his nature you are really saying he can't do it because it is contrary to existence. Putting it in those terms its the exact same reason I can't make a square circle or make A not A. It's just my nature and the nature of anything and everything that exists. We share the same core worldview, everything is the way it is because it is the way it is that existence has a nature and can not help but act consistently with that nature. It is the nature of a rock or a person or a god. This way of existing is where we get our logical absolutes from. Logical absolutes are the nature of existence not just god's existence. So in that way, god is limited to the nature of existence, not his nature.

You really aren't giving me much of an arguement to go on so sorry for the time to respond. I'm trying to follow you as best I can.

But God can make an "A" not be an A. He can do anything. He can make us believe that and it can be proven to be a fact. Thats just how human nature is.

About the squared circle thing, he didn't make it just because he decided not to make it. Its that simple. He didn't give humans superpowers, he didn't give me the power do spontaneously burst into flames, he didn't make it to where trees grow upside down.
