This is really good, I like how you compared it so I know you tried and put some effort into this map. I have seen some remakes that looked rushed and not good, but yours is precision. Nice job with the map.
I downloaded this map today and I must say that it is spot on. Absolutely amazing job and it is really important listen to the feedback from other people. I am up to version 3 of my Narrows remake and I am so proud of how it looks now because of other people told me to fix stuff. Keep up the great work and if you ever wanna do another remake and coforge it, let me know.

I just had to register here to give you some tips. First of all, this is an amazing remake. There is really no other way to say it. I have a couple problems that are really bugging me though. The first is that the jump from top mid to sniper ramp is way too difficult. It should be a really smooth jump but I find I have to time it perfect or else I'll fall. Plus the platform to jump up there shouldn't be raised up like that; it should be level with the railing and jut out from it. That's really my biggest qualm. The second thing is the lighting. Like many other people said, I appreciate what you're trying to do with the white but looking at part of the map just whites out entire things like walkways and railings. Plus, if you fall off into the water below, your screen just turns white. I say just leave the natural lighting, it isn't that dark. The last thing is to add the explosive barrels! Also, the glass pane in the middle of the map would be cool too.
Absolutely wonderful. I've been looking for a good, accurate lockout remake since Reach came out. And while I am sad and disappoint that Bungie hasn't released the somewhat "official" remake they made and showcased in the Forge World ViDoc, this is the next best thing. I've looked at tons of remakes and all of them sucked with maybe one or two strong points, (One had the shotgun room dead-on, but everything else sucked) and I'm glad to have found one that is the most accurate remake I've seen. I'd also like to second all the critique that others have given, (Rid of Nova, name it something else, gametype support, etc.) and I would also like to point out that you can have the sword stand up like it does in H2. And no, not by using the "fixed" option, cause after someone drops it, it's floating. If you stand it up using the rotational snap, it should just stand straight on the handle. Also, the re-addition of the fusion coils would be great. I'd also like to reiterate the renaming it to something else. If you do, it would definitely be recognizable and stand out from all the crap lockout remakes. What about Snapout? Just throwing out ideas. Again, 10/10.
This is a spot on remake dude, all the ones i've seen suck, except this one. You should rename it something else, if you decide to keep the nova FX, you can call it whiteout, same can apply if you use a white light instead of the FX, also, you should put the fusion coils back on the map, like just one each where the originals were, then you could put two instead of three in the sniper tower.
This is the best Lockout remake so far in my opinion. Looks exactly like it did in Halo 2, especially with the nova effect to make it look snowy. Great job.
I deleted all the others Lockout remakes I had and just stayed with this one. Too bad it lags in split-screen, any way to fix it? Good job anyway, high chances of winning the contest.
This map would one of the best if not the best overall remake if it wasn't for the lag issues. It's the middle platform area that causes the lag. I replaced it using other pieces and the lag is pretty much gone from everywhere. It lost some but aesthetics but it is now playable. So, it can be fixed.
Ash's comments are dead on. You've nailed the proportions, now I'd just work on the details. If I were you, I'd develop a new modified weapon layout for reach, as a secondary download option. If you can manage to fix the frame rate issues, I don't see why this wouldn't make it into the Matchmaking rotation. It'll just take a little more effort on your part.

Mac XL for sure stole that map and he is being a douch about giving the credit. He annoyed me when I read the MLG forum post, but then I played his version..... and I have to say, it is the Best lockout remake that exists. It has a horrible weapon layout but that is easily fixed. He also transformed "his" version to Tempist, which is also excellent. I don't like to support someone like this that refuses to give credit where it is due, but I have been waiting a long time for a Lockout remake as accurate and playable as these two.
Yeah, this map is BRILLIANT. Isn't there a way to get this in the MLG playlist? And is this submitted to Forgetacular? Also, I went over the map and fixed all the problems apart from top-mid to the plasma rifle/sniper building and lowest ramp to two on the left and right. I think that one is because the reach physics just don't allow you to. I deleted nova too, which actually makes it more accurate lighting wise. Hey maky, is it allright if i load my version up to bungie.net with full credit to you? Edit: One last one I couldn't fix is the un-steep ramp leading from BR to the room above the sword room. A jump (a very hard one) was from that elbow bit to the edge of the sword room, nothing massive, but still a flaw
Ok, Mac XL reworked the map & made it better, discussion on all that is basically over. He did a new version on tempest that is spot on and trumps all other Lockout remakes. I don't know why you get on Mac like he's some kind of a** cause he's a cool kid and I never seen him act like you guys hating on him do. Why don't you stop making forging like its some sort of competition and help the community by supporting better versions and better gameplay. Seriously, if this was the way the music community acted (atleast the ones i'm involved with) we would only be damaging ourselves. Support the better maps, it supports forge in whole.
I love the accuracy of this map, Most remakes annoy me because people add there own personal changes because whatever reason (mostly budget and personal opinion thinking it will be better or better gameplay). BUT I play remakes to play the exact level in Halo Reach and if i want to modify it later to something I will. also haven't downloaded it yet hopefully fusion coils are set to never respawn and apparently LOS from certain areas are off but i see that for myself. But the only thing i can see from pictures that the little poles sticking out between jumps from middle platform are small blocks, they would be better as ramps facing up or something because in the original those blocks give a far amount of cover those small blocks barely protect you in best of times. EDIT: Read your post on there (Y) ,It does annoy me that he did that because I would hate for a map i spent hours on then someone just adds bit of aesthetics then says it's his own map and his got "famous" but his a ass, Glad Forgehub doesn't condone that activity.
