This thread is dedicated (to) bringing awareness and compile links, reviews & descriptions to the current Halo 5 Linear Infections.

What is it? - "Linear Infection is a modified Infection game-type which pits players against Infected while traversing through either a series of holdouts, gates and or puzzles and usually requires team work and tactics."

    Maps:

1.) Survive The Underground - Author: Ryan LFC 92

Description: Your trapped in an underground train station. Zombies are EVERYWHERE. Run if you want to live, these zombies are FAST and will attack you in herds. Stick together, its the only way you will survive... or just out run the guy behind you for zombie bait.

Quick Review: This Is The current go to linear infection map for most Halo 5 custom lobbies, It features elevators, a moving train & many obstacales to traverse. Well scripted and plenty of fun for lobbies 10+ in size.

2.) Survive The City - Author: Ryan LFC 92

Description: There is speculation that a small percentage of the population are immune to the virus, but not only immune, can take on the abilities of the infected. Are you one of them? Before you worry about that, get out the city alive first.

Quick Review: This is the sequel to Survive the Underground - similar in comparison to its predecessor this map features much larger open spaces, a mongoose get away & a nicely sized elevator to escape the undead. Well scripted and plenty of fun for lobbies 10+ in size.

3.) Escape #1 Arctic Base - Author: Zeek The Dog

Description: Escape the Arctic Base! This map is an linear infection map that will have you working as a team to get to the end of the map. Hold out from the zombies as you wait for doors to open. This map was inspired by survive the underground and journey from Halo 3. Game type is Escape 2.3

Quick Review: Escape Arctic Base is a simple-to-get and well put together linear infeciton. It starts in a shippping yard and quickly translates into a elevator get-away, it also features a crane & switch survival point. This map is plenty of fun for lobbies 8+ in size.

4.) Escape #2 Crash Site - Author: Zeek The Dog

Description: Escape The Crash Site! This map is an linear infection map that will have you working as a team to get to the end of the map. Hold out from the zombies as you wait for doors to open. This map was inspired by survive the underground and journey from Halo 3. Game type is Escape 2.3

Quick Review: Escape the Crash Site is a "greener" take on Zeeks original Escape map. Unlike Arctic Base this map has a wide open area that is very vulnerable from a vertical take. It quickly shifts to a much more narrower perspective with pipe traversal & the last man hoping he has enough ammo in his clip. This map features a warthog run towards the end and is very fun for lobbies 8+ in size.

    5.) Shipment - Author: KeeLoker

Description: Shipment is a linear style infection map based around an infested shipping yard along the shores of an ocean. You and your group must escape the shipping yard and reach the parking garage to which you can close the garage and seal away a threat no man should ever face.

Quick Review: Shipment is a smaller linear infection map in comparison to the latter that is heavily focused around aesthetics & "close encounters" opening in a shipment yard players will be quick to find infected jumping from cargo box to cargo box in a nitty gritty escapade to get to the garage. This map is neatly put together and good for lobbies 8+ in size

6.) Evac On Urban - Author: Taylorwayne15 & Zeek The Dog

Description: Evac on Urban is a linear infection map built on the parallax canvas. Featuring many locales such as a forest, house, cave, city, mall and lab the map focuses on teamwork, expedition and survival.

Quick Review: Evac On Urban is a large linear infection map which begins in a wooded area and traverses through a ourskirt house, caves and finally a large city. This map features multiple path choices & is quite challenging with many choke points and an elevator which may or may not break down (literally somtimes it breaks sometimes it doesnt but nevertheless, it adds to the experience!) Can be played with lobbies 10+ in size.

7.) Reincarnation (Outbreak) - Author: Volcanic Decay

Description: Play this map with around 10 to 14 players with the game type Reincarnation under my file share. if you have any concerns about the map or would like to contact me my gamer tag is xVolcanic Decay so enjoy the map and be on the lookout for the next map part to my series

Quick Review: Reincarnation is a aesthitcally pleasing & from a gameplay standpoint, balanced linear map. This map is a dark and eerie linear infection map featuring a warthog run at the end. Very fun, can be played with lobbies 8+ in size.

8.) Evac on The Island - Author: Taylorwayne15

Description: Evac on The Island is a linear infection map built on the tidal canvas. Featuring many locales such as a beach, decrepit bridge, office, drainage system and mongoose getaway with traps, the map focuses on teamwork, expedition and survival.

Quick Review: Evac on The Island is the sucessor to Evac on Urban, with a change of locale this map is a creative take featuring obstacales & tight choke points. This map is VERY challenging to make it to the end and out of 20+ playtest about 2 lobbies ALMOST made it to the end. This map is fun but can be very frustrating when the main atrophy of survivors is the geometry itself. Are you up for the challenge? Can be played with lobbies 10+ in size.
