    Figures - High Impact Halo goes away (may it rest in peace) and not even three months later I finally finish my first Forge map. I would have liked to have released it into the little-big part of the internet I knew and loved - but the times for the Halo community, man, they are a-changin'.
    But I suppose I'm not the only rat to swim it's way on board the Forge Hub, and it is nice to be here. I hope my inaugural map does the game justice on this, the last partial week of Bungie's Halo.

    I bring you: LINEAGE

    A small to medium-sized map with a simple structure; 2 two-story bases stand sentry to an open strip of group with smaller battlefield structures on the out-lying walls to either side. This results in a bowl-shaped arena. The action is funneled from the outside-in, creating frantic neutral-objective battles as well as providing a central point of contention in team matches.
    At least, that's the idea.

    I have developed this map over a few months but only now is it ready for use. I have done all that I can with it by simply imagining what should be where and why (of course, all you veteran Forgers know what I'm talking about). This is the point where play-testing is the only way to refine the map into some semblance of perfection.
    But I can not play-test.
    While I play online matchmaking as much as I can, I can only do so in places where I can. My home internet connection does not work for Xbox LIVE (not even custom games) and so I am forced to rely on the feedback of others playing matches that I can not be involved in.
    Not that I'm trying to gain anything by making a "perfect" map. But I am interested in just what kind of play-ground I can give to even a tiny part of the Halo community. A community I have been in a loving relationship with for the past 10 years.

    Please give feedback and let me know what simply doesn't work. I suggest playing some Team Slayer and/or Neutral Objective (Headhunter, oddball, juggernaut) as these are what this map was made for. I know the weapon spawns will need work, but fortunately Reach's loadouts make maps that would normally be un-playable due to bad weapon placement actually be some-what fun. Still, I'd like as much criticism as possible to make them proper.

    The map features 2 DMRs, 2 Needle Rifles, 1 Sniper, 1 Focus Rifle, 1 Shotgun, 1 Needler, 1 Magnum, 2 Plasma Pistols, 1 Plasma Repeater, 1 Plasma Launcher, 1 Machine Gun Turret, 4 Frag grenades, and 4 Plasma grenades. Some adjustment has been made to respawn time but none of it is final. There are also Med Packs.

    And never mind the bridge between the two main bases, That's just for looks.
