Lijiang - Welcome to Lijiang. Kick back. Relax. Kill your friends.

Lijiang is a 4v4 Slayer map set in a residential tower. It's small and vertical, featuring multiple levels, a few strategically-placed vents, and a nice shrubbery. Expect intense action with few pauses for breath.

1.1 Geometry fixes

Added a couple of invisible blocks to smooth out walking on the mid-height galleries, and replaced a missing wall on the outside of the map that allowed players to see a glowing portal into the world outside.

1.2 Upwardly Mobile

Modified the shotgun spawn platform to have a gravity lift leading up to the topmost catwalk. This should improve players' ability to regain the high ground.

1.3 Extra Stuff

Based on recommendations from a playtest with Max Extra's Forged Fridays.

- Lowered the Shotgun's ammo count

- Moved the topmost teleporter exit backwards to reduce campability
- Added a Restricted Area decal to the entrance to the shotgun spawn teleporter
- Added a triangle decal to the entrance to the top level teleporter

- Added purple and green lighting on the bottom level side spawns
- Various lighting improvements throughout the map

NikkoJT updated Lijiang with a new update entry:

2.0 Round Two: FIGHT!

With this update, Lijiang has been completely rebuilt from the ground up. It retains a top-and-bottom layout, but is now much larger and less vertical. The maximum recommended player count has increased.

The map's theme and general look remain the same, but with a rebuild like this there are way too many changes to list. Suffice it to say, it's different.

2.1 Extra Stuff II

Based on feedback from map testing with Max Extra:

- Removed the maintenance tunnel and teleporters. (This may be altered to add a new version of the maintenance tunnel, pending feedback)
- Closed the open air vents on the upper level.
- Added a pair of platforms to the sides of the upper level, overhanging the garden.
- Added a pair of grav lifts leading up to these platforms.

- Added a pair of additional Battle Rifles.

2.2 Ascended

Map update based on feedback with Ascend Hyperion's Thursday Thirteen lobby.

- Fixed an error in the placement of the SAW weapon pad.
- Reworked containment in the upper part of the map to improve people-proofing and reduce object count.

- Added a second accent piece to the top of the upper level stairs exists to prevent escape.

- Replaced the Needler in the middle with an Overshield (does not spawn in Strongholds).
