NikkoJT submitted a new map:

Lijiang EX - Make this quick and we can go for ice cream afterwards.

This is a small map based on my previous 4v4 map, Lijiang. It's designed for 2v2 Slayer and the Forgehub community gametype Extermination.

The map is square, with a circular central area and a more enclosed path around the outside. The entire map is designed to fit in a 256x256 floor, as per the Extermination spec.

Note that there is currently an issue with the map's scripting which causes the Extermination...

NikkoJT updated Lijiang EX with a new update entry:

1.1 Duking it out

Based on testing with Duke of Mearl.

- Lowered the centre pillar.

- Blocked access to the upper catwalks.

- Replaced numerous floor pieces with primitives to improve FPS
- Removed grass to improve FPS

- Placed weapons slightly above the floor to resolve inexplicable inaccessibility issues.
- Added a Needler to the top of the centre pillar.
- Moved the Sniper Rifle and Speed Boost out into the centre of their access routes.

- Adjusted initial spawns to reduce congestion.

NikkoJT updated Lijiang EX with a new update entry:

1.2 Laterally Ascended

Update based on testing with Ascend Hyperion's Thursday Thirteen lobby.

- Swapped the positions of the Needler and Sniper Rifle.

- Reconfigured the new Needler spawn area to expand the floor space.
-- The area is now larger, including a recess into the tower block that forms its back wall, and lacks the partitioning walls present on the other three sides of the map. The steps leading to the corners of that side have also been moved back towards the corners.

1.3 8-Ball, will Lijiang EX ever be fun?

Signs point to "no".
Update based on testing with Ascend Hyperion's Thursday Thirteen lobby.

- Rebuilt the Needler spawn area. Again.
-- The large support things have been removed and the area is now flat from end to end.
- Inverted the stairs at the centre side of the Speed Boost spawn area.
-- The stairs now lead to a small balcony overhanging the centre of the map.
- Slightly raised the floor in the centre of the map.

- Fixed an incorrectly placed kill volume.

1.4 Magically Fun Again

Updated based on testing with Max Extra and Ascend Hyperion's lobbies.

- Raised the centre of the map again.
- Reduced cover on the Speed Boost side by modifying the support structures.
- Simplified a number of walls.
- Added a Modern Art Installation in the middle of the Needler side.

1.5 Executive Action

Cumulative update. Some changes were made last week.

- Simplified the ledges in the centre.
-- There is now no overhang; the ledges are solid.
- Adjusted the placement of the support pillars in the team spawns.
- Moved the stairs in the team spawns back to expand floorspace.
- Further wall refinements.

- Fixed an incorrectly placed kill volume.

- Replaced the SMGs with Whispered Truth magnums.

- Adjusted respawns.
