I remember playing on your Colossus remake a bunch back when Reach first came out. This looks just as good, although I think some of the object color looks a tad goofy. Anyways, I'd love to play this some time. Too bad there isn't a "no_ctf' label to use on the bridge...
I have no idea what bridge you're talking about. But why not add game specific labels to the bridge. Make them specific to everything except CTF? Bam.
Im not sure what is being discussed here, Ive checked out this map, the central bridge is gametype appropriate, its there when it needs to be, and not there when it shouldnt be.
Isn't there a "no_ctf" label? I certainly remember reading about anti-labels, but worst case individual labels can be applied as Paints mentioned. [br][/br]Edited by merge: Oh hey, I'm a ****, I should give you some initial impressions: 1) Is there no roof? I love the lighting, especially how the red side is lit in contrast with the blue (love Ravine's low sun), always a nice touch in gathering your direction as you spawn. That said, if you can cull a little to make room in the budget, I think the map would benefit from being enclosed by coliseum windows. Which reminds me, I love the use of them in the back, although I wish the map was higher up so you weren't just staring at the artifact. 2) Crates are ugly. Again, if you can approach the map from a budgetary standpoint now and see where you can make room, replacing crates would be a great step toward making this map sexier. Unless they're the most accurate to the original? I'm not certain. 3) I'd personally stick to a 3 or 4 color palette just to keep the feel of the original on some level. Yellow and green feel very out of place here. I imagine you even have a seventh color? Purple and Cyan feel great here for callouts, but I'd stop there—I don't think every callout needs a color.
As nillapuddin has said, the bridge does not spawn in CTF. It spawns when it should in Slayer, KOTH, Oddball, and Extraction. 1) The budget is already extremely tight, the roof's accuracy was secondary to the accuracy of the playspace. 2) The object count is also extremely tight, and they are replacing the forerunner crate/containers that were present in the original. 3) I wanted to give distinguishing colors to every area. Its unfortunate you don't find this appealing, but so far more people have said they prefer it than not. I do appreciate you sharing your opinion on this and will keep it mind as I hear more opinions in the future.
