    I have a general idea of how it's done, though it'd take a couple tries to replicate exactly. Why?

    No, it's an effect. Lego bricks don't come in that many colors. The effect is called something like "tile" or something. Again, I'd have to mess with it, but I can do it.

    EDIT: Did my research. It's actually Mosaic, followed by a Sharpen filter, plus a pattern overlay that I nabbed from that image. Check it out:

    EDIT2: You know, now that I look at it in more detail through photoshop, it actually appears as though that was done in actual Legos. What's funny is that after refining my method a bit, I actually think it looks more realistic than the actual photo-capture:
