Hello forgehub community DMR(x4) Shotgun(x1) Rocket Launcher (x1) Mounted Machinegun (x1) Energy Sword (x1) Plasma Grenade (x2) Frag Grenade (x2) Legacy is a small, asymmetrical map designed for 1-7 players. One half of the design houses the staircase to the upper level. There is a central section which houses the rocket launcher, which is overseen by both the upper right and left tier, as well as the mounted machinegun Beneath the machinegun are two grav lifts which enalbe alternative access to the upper tier. The map is small, which may be problematic during gameplay, however I find it to be very aesthetically pleasing.
I personally don't think small maps effect gameplay. This map is definetly aesthetically pleasing. It has a lot of color and feels bright, which is nice. The rocket launcher platform is very cool and creative. Have you had the chance to get any games on this, to test gameplay? It would be helpful if you could give us some pointers on the best parts of the map. I will download when I get my xbox fixed. It has the RROD, I've been having trouble with it, so when I get it up and running again I'll be sure to leave you feedback on how it plays out. Good work though.
Have you tested this in splitscreen yet? The map does look really interesting and good, but it also looks ripe for screenlag.
this map looks quite the shmexy map I must say. This is very aesthetically pleasing and I think that small maps get super energetic at times. My only concern is if this is a small map wouldn't the rocket launcher seem a bit overpowering?
Very nice map...it has a good layout very nice aesthetics and good use of forge objects...you varied the use of the objects and used good merging and forging to make the map flow...the map is a little small though so the sword might be over powered in the map and there could be some lag because of all the merged objects...you could use whats left of your budget to make some extentions to the map but you dont have to...but overall a nice map...
sweet forging! this is one of the best ive seen lately. good use with objects to make those decorative shapes/platforms. an the slanted walls give it a cool and creative look. doesnt even look like a forge map, its that good. map rating: 10/10
Glad you like it. . Unfortunately, I am yet to playtest this map, but because of its small nature it should be a frantic battle between DMR's and a scrabble for the power weapons. I agree there are a lot of merged pieces, so potentially screenlag would be a problem, however I am yet to playtest this map. Thank you. The rocket launcher may be slightly over powered, I can see you thinking. However, it is limited to 2 shots and has a slow respawn time. Considering it is in the most exposed area of the map, it it potentially very hazardous obtaining it, making for hopefully good risk/reward. Glad you liked it. The sword should be counteracted by the other weapons, such as the shotgun and multitude of DMRs. If i were to remakle this map I would definately consider redsigning the map tp make it longer, as the grav lift section i feel could use some work. although this may make keeping with the aesthetic theme difficult. Thanks a lot. That effect is definately what i was going for. I think it's important to strive to make a map as distinctive and seamless as possible, so hopefuly ive achieved that.
