YouTube - LEAKED Left 4 Dead 2 Trailer - Zombie Survival Guide HQ Left 4 Dead 2, banned in Australia, Petitioned/boycotted by fans, and now, a leaked trailer. Although, this trailer would definitely change some people's minds about this game, well, maybe not Australia's government. The game looks great, just like the first, cheesy Zombie movie theme and all. While there is no gameplay shown, the cinematic value is great. Now if only Valve would add cut scenes like this to the game... Left 4 Dead 2 is set for release November 17, 2009, with a pre-order bonus of getting early access to the Left 4 Dead 2 demo (which will be available on October 27), an exclusive American baseball bat melee weapon, and 10% off your total purchase, according to IGN. Watch and discuss.
I'm glad they actually added a story to this game, as opposed to 4 (now 5) different stories (although the newest one links 2 of the old ones). The trailer looks great, love the new characters, especially Coach. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if this turned out to be the intro trailer, like the No Mercy streets one for L4D1. Unfortunately I live in Australia, so until i find out whether or not steam will give me and uncensored version, I'm holding out on pre-ordering. Otherwise I'll just order it from Asia.
The original L4D2 is banned in Australia, but Valve has created a dumbed down version (basically just less gore) which will be able to sell there. Hopefully the originals are up for sale on Steam for Australians, though. Before the trailer, I wasn't interested in this game. Looks like they're pulling the same marketing tactic as they did with Left 4 Dead. Impressive trailer, though. I might actually get this one.
Uhh... I can't really think of anything to say. I'm blown away by the sheer epicness of this footage. I want.
I hated the first L4D, but this one looks amazing! As you said, the cinematic value is great, and i like how they added a story beside, "Kill the zombies". I might actually get this, but for computer.
I love L4D so much. Zombies are just my thing. I can't say this is more than I expected, since there were multiple obvious fixes that needed to be made for L4D1 and it looks like they have them covered (MOAR WEAPONS). I kinda wish they had the same characters in the 2nd game though, but the new ones seem alright. Except for that kid in the hat...***** had to get saved like 9 times in one trailer.
I'm thinking of getting this later, I wish I had preordered it now. After buying and being slightly disappointed by the first game, I thought about just passing on this one. This completely changed my mind. The trailer and game seem to give more of an emphasis on the characters this time around which is definetly nice. Maybe I'll force my brother to buy it. idk. I'll read the reviews before I get this though.
I'm still not convinced. Sure, looks cool, but hasn't almost every CG movie? I'm still seeing L4D2 as a rent, MW2 as a massive buybuybuy, personally.
If you had to buy one game this holida season, it would have to be MW2. Since I'm getting it for free, I might as well buy this. Saw some gameplay at E3, not as intense as the trailer makes it look (as with almost every game), but it still looked pretty fun.
I guess I'll have to get it for pc then! I'm gonna have to give up some games like batman, cod 4, cod 5, and the original halo 3(kept it for the spontanious campaign decisions I ofted have) though AH, hell, it'll be worth it!
I'm hoping these clips are either simply the opening for the game or are for promotional purposes only. Some of the greatest things about L4D were the fast paced action, the simplicity, and the focus on core gameplay rather than story. If these are cut scenes placed throughout the levels I am sad to say I will be disappointed, as Valve would have strayed from the original idea of L4D: A game simply about killing zombies. Even though I'm waiting for Xmas, this is definitely one of my top anticipated games for the year and will probably soak up more of my time then MW2.
YouTube - Chocolate Helicopters I like this one better. Can't wait for L4D2, the trailer makes it look better than the first.
