Hey guys, excuse me if this is an idiotic question. As most of you all know Left 4 Dead 2 was banned in Australia and Valve had to give a modified version so Australians could still play. Well today I was reading the Modified review on Ign.com and realized I definitely won't be wasting my time on that version, which leads to my question. Is the game just banned from being sold in retail stores in Australia? Because I was thinking of purchasing the original version from America but I'm unsure whether or not it's legal to do so.
I'd really like to get some answer out of this so any reply is welcome as long as it's a serious one.
    Thanks guys

    True that.

If you don't know why this, it is what it is because Americans use NTSC and Europeans/Australians use PAL which are two totally different video systems.

I don't think that's the only reason, otherwise you could just get a shiny UK copy from over here in Fish and Chips land. We'd be your PAL!

Um, i live in Australia and some tvs in Aus can run NTSC and PAL.

All my games are PAL except BF Bad company is NTSC and it works fine. Just to be safe you should import it from the UK.

    False that.

My brother and I have a collection of 40+ 360 games, over half of which are NTSC, and the other half of which are PAL. One xbox is Australian and 1 xbox is American; all games work on both xboxs.
