The Lazy Mapmaker's Contest # 2 Submission Thread Allright, this is where we all shall be submitting the maps for the "Lazy Map Makers Contest #2." Now, before I go any further: If you post anything besides your map, you will be Disqualified. I don't want any smart-asses either going "Well, since I'm not posting a map, it doesn't matter if I just go ahead and post a question..." If you feel so compelled to do so, you will be reported for spam, and you may be subject to -rep. If you have any questions, post them here Don't forget the rules! Absolutely No Interlocking (Besides auto-locking doors/window panels) Absolutely No Geo-Glitching (Interlocking objects with the map) Absolutely No Infinite-Money-Glitch You are required to use Foundry (sorry if you feel otherwise) Entry must be submitted by August 20th. Only allowed to post one map, so choose wisely Floating Objects IS allowed Must complete application for contest properly. Map MUST be competitive style (sorry, but it kinda slims down the judging) These rules are non-negotiable. This contest is to see if we can create something without the use of advanced forging techniques... This contest is open to all applicants, the applications must be filled in this fashion: ----------------------------------- User Name(s): Example text Map Name: (Name must link to map) Did you read and follow instructions: yes/no Do you prefer not using advanced forge techniques: yes/no & explanation. *If you have want to know how to post your map's title correctly, go to the bottom of the page. ----------------------------------- Also if you are in need of a Non-Money-Glitched Canvas on Foundry: Here you are =] Much thanks goes to playerhata27 for creating a canvas real quick, since it's so hard to find one since the creation of money glitch xD How do I get a map posted properly on the submission thread? The answer to that would be: 1) Save map 2) Put map on fileshare 3) Go to Bungie.net 4) Go to your halo 3 page 5) Go to your fileshare in said page 6) Click your map, copy the link of the map (at top of page) 7) Go to this thread: Here! 8) Then enter your map, in the following format: User Name(s): Example text Map Name: (Name must link to map) Did you read and follow instructions: yes/no Do you prefer not using advanced forge techniques: yes/no & explanation. 9) When you post your map on the "Map Name" section, type in Map name here Note from the creator of The LMC: I would just like to say that the last LMC had a few maps in there that were taking the term Lazy Mapmaker's a bit too literally. The other judges and I would like to see some serious competition this time around. I don't want to hand the bragging rights over to one person again. Thanks everyone for competing, and forge well =] Questions? POST THEM HERE!

User Name(s): Redearth Map Name: Foundry Covies Did you read and follow instructions: Yes Do you prefer not using advanced forge techniques: No, as it prevents some aspects of creating a map sloppy, like walling off some areas of foundry, Luckily, this time that was not a problem.
User Name(s): teckel Map Name: Battlefield Did you read and follow instructions: Yes Do you prefer not using advanced forge techniques: In a way i did and in a way i did not. I liked how it did not take as long to do. But i did not like how frustrating it got when i could not merge.
user name: philthyphillup map name: Downunder= Bungie.net : Community : Forum Topic Listing : Forum Reply Listing did you read the follow instructions: yes do you prefer not using advanced forge techneques: ITs faster to make a map, but its so different and strange to do that its not as fun.

User Name: Vorpal Saint Map Name: 3rd Judith Did you read and follow instructions: yes Do you prefer not using advanced forge techniques: Yes. Gives you the chances to make millions of more things. Game Type: Chaos King (If you want, you can put the hill move on random)
User Name(s): DimmestBread Map Name: Trigonal Did you read and follow instructions: Yes Do you prefer not using advanced forge techniques: I prefer to use them because you can make more interesting designs although I personally think it is harder to come up with an amazing map without using interlocking or geo merging
User Name: linubidix Map Name: Derailed Did you read and follow instructions: yes Do you prefer not using advanced forge techniques: No, I must have moar interlocking. Although, while making this I found it very relaxing, as it only took 2 forge sessions. But to be refused advanced techniques is incredibly restricting to a forger's creativity.
User name: Felipe dos Map name: Bug-Eyed Baron Did you read and follow the instructions?: Yes Do you prefer not using advanced forge techniques? No. I always get frustrated when I cannot interlock. The only upside I find to not using them is that you can delete an object without it being lost to the bowels of space and time forever. The budget did hit me like a sack of doorknobs though.
User Name(s): X1 caboose 1x Map Name: Convike Did you read and follow instructions: yes Do you prefer not using advanced forge techniques: yes because i had to restart my map about ten times before i could figure out ow to get it to work and it also make the map sloppy
User Name: killnon2 Map Name: Judgement Did you read and follow instructions: Yes Do you prefer using advanced forge techniques: No because it takes long, but in the end, it ends up perfect, so yes and no.
*link is fixed* User Name(s): JAYc Map Name: Blade Did you read and follow instructions: yes Do you prefer not using advanced forge techniques: no, because the final product is no where near as good. Although it took me no where near as long to make Blade than it has my other maps.
User Name: PonyD Map Name: Pipeline Did you read and follow instructions: yes Do you prefer not using advanced forge techniques: No, I do not like limitations.
User Name(s): xRedNormandyx Map Name: Psychotic Did you read and follow instructions: yes Do you prefer not using advanced forge techniques: no. there were some things that I was unable to do because of no interlocking. also, I prefer geomerging to finding a short alternative like sideways stairs.
User Name(s): Hotpokkaminny Map Name: Circulation Did you read and follow instructions: yes Do you prefer not using advanced forge techniques: no, too many restrictions.
User Name: Irc WindDragon Map Name: Corsair Did you read and follow instructions: Yes Do you prever not using advanced forge techniques: Yes and no. Not using techniqes makes the map not look as good, yet it's easier because you don't have to worry about having the interlocking perfectly straight.
User Name: Mallet Map Name: Silver Did you read and follow instructions: Yes Do you prever not using advanced forge techniques: No
