As the title of this thread may show is that i need help building maps. My strong points are creating layouts and ideas. Now i can forge but i consider myself above average but nothing amazing. Maybe i just put myself lower since we the creators are our biggest critics.

I have co-forged most of my stuff because i cant forge alone. I dont know why this is but i get bored easily by myself and i have no drive to get better. So im asking if anyone wants to help me work with my layouts/blueprints/designs and make them happen.

    Anyone looking to help.

I may be interested, you have any drawings or anything? See if something speaks to me.

Yeah, if you give us something to go off of, some may be a even more interested. Sketches or WIPs or just thoughts in mind, something to get other creative minds going!

Below I have attached 2 links that, although they are not drawing out specific ideas for you, they certainly help in coming up with some cool designs and give you that drive to build you seem like you need. Sometimes I have an idea for some or all of a map, but it just doesn't click for me, thus making me bored as (insert cuss word of your choice here) when I go to forge. When I hit these 'creative blocks' I typically go read/watch something along those 2 links, which can spark an idea that is so cool I gotta go forge it right away.

    a Chunk's guide to designing a map-
    http://www.forgehub.com/threads/forge-fundamentals.147829/

    MultiLockOn's videos (so far)-
    http://www.forgehub.com/threads/how-to-design-a-halo-map.149161/

A method that is just as good would be going around the maps thread looking for cool shapes or design ideas that can also make something click.

Keeping an eye out for interesting shapes or ideas as you go through your day can help get that creative fire going. For example, I was sitting in class one day 'reading' through my textbook when the word acropolis caught my eye and made me think, "a Greek styled map on a hill or mountain..." which ended up being kinda cool in practice.

Anyway, this is pretty much the ways I generate ideas and get myself in the mood to forge, but it's different for everyone. If the designing thing is no problem at all to you and it's just the building part that gets boring, as you said in the OP, I would suggest either:
    A) Keep forging until you get more comfortable
    B) Forge something you find more bad-ass, like a mini-game or something. Never know.
    C) Continue co-forging
These are just a few suggestions, it's up to you.

Let me know if you are interested in collaborating on a project or if you would like me to clarify/elaborate on one of these points. My GT is my username.

    ;)
