Lazer Tag Lazer Tag Gametype I know people here have been wondering if someone would make a laser tag map, so I did. There are two raised platforms that are both equally safe and dangerous. On the left, there are four fusion coils that will cause eachother to erupt, but you have the added cover of a shield door. To the right there is a pallet platform surrounded by a fence box that respawns a minute into the game. There are two tunnels that lead to the back of the map or to a teleporter. At the end of the "maze" in the center is a powerup that gives you invisibility, a radar, and a speed boost, if you're playing on the required gametype. The whole map should be explained with these three pictures. The fusion coil platform. The pallet platform. And the back of the map.
from my point of view it doesnt look very messy at all (it looks like a lasertag type of map, since i remember playing laser tag in an arcade and the arena looks pretty familier), but you can touch up on things like the b sign's and interlock those with the walls and the bridge in the first picture. Guys also if you say it looks messy, then tell him what needs to be evened out or fixed. If you dont say it whats the point of your post.
It does look messy. You should fix up most of the edges, and line up neighboring objects. Most people here expect lines in the map to be near-flawless. It's difficult at first (my first maps are equally messy), but you get used to spending those extra few seconds lining things up nicely. As far as the general layout goes, though, I like it. It's very reminiscent of lasertag arenas I've been to (only a few... I grew up in Montana, where the closest thing was a watergun fight in a field full of wet cows). Unfortunately, the Halo 3 lasers do not act like lasertag lasers. BR's do, though. If you're going for a lasertag recreation, I'd use those instead. But if it's fun with the H3 lasers, then by all means: keep them.
