What's wrong with your pic? I've never seen that happen before... Did you save it right from b.net, then put it in a hosting site?
from what i can tell from the pic and description you just threw a very lucky grenade right on time before you were hit by the spLaZer. awesome
To me it looks like you were simply obtaining an overshieild in this picture, as the "laza" doesnt seem to be traveling from somewhere, nor does it appear to be going anywhere. The only thing the object in the pic has in common with a splazer is the red coloring. Nice try.

Wow. Cool. I wish I had that kind of luck. But I don't.... In fact, I probably have some of the worst luck in Halo. Seriously, I'm the guy who always get splattered by pallets from across the map because some guy just wanted to throw a grenade. I'm not even kidding. I got hit (and killed) by a tire of a recently exploded Mongoose across the map before.
yeah, thats some bad luck, got a picture? I do get lucky with explosives though, yesterday, i was in a mongoose with a plasma about to hit me, and some explosive blew up behind me. not only did i dodge the nade, I flew over and hit the guy with a snipping mongoose splatter, my favorite type of kill
You can also melee to block, twice I've thrown a grenade and it has been lazered, both times it killed the guy.
