Is there way to make a slayer style game type where you can only kill people in certain areas?

I THINK that was possible in halo 3. To achieve it you had to place KOTH hills and change the scoring so killing someone whilst in the hill gets you points but outside doesn't.

you are forgetting something. There is a safe zone and a kill zone

    Safe Zone:

Effect: whenever you go outside this zone, you will get killed (or the Return to Battlefield warning). Normally used for map boundaries.

    Kill Zone:

Effect: same as Safe Zone but if you enter this zone, you get killed or the RTB warning will show. It is basically like a hole punch, you can cut out the center or any part of a map. good for preventing cheaters on Race Tracks

    This should solve your problem.

Unfortunately it's not possible to create 'kill areas' or whatever you want to call them. The damage you take on a map will always be the same, no matter where you are.

lol I don't think boss read my post at all. Thanks LD, actually i think there is way using base settings set to 0, and settting hill damage to normal, but I'm not at home and can't try this now. The only issue is that it would be counting hill time not kills.

Try overlapping hard kill zones and soft kill zones as you need them so that you can have gaps in kill areas. cba doing a diagram so you have the honor of seeing my ASCII skills :p

    Ignore the dots..

    [][][]
    []..[]
    [][][]
The box's are the kill areas.

That would work I know for a fact :p

Couldn't you make the gametype so that people are invulnerable outside of a hill, but when they enter a hill, they use their invulnerability?
