Kamohoalii (ka-moho-alii) is a symmetrical map that sits on the water of Forge Island's lagoon. It can accommodate 6 to 12 players. It currently supports Slayer, KOH, and CTF gametypes. It is a re-imagining of a concept I was working on in Reach. Now, to the screenshots. Testing has gone very well. FFA and Ctf have gone very well. We have not tested KOH yet. Playtested in TCOJ Tuesday Night Testing Lobby on 7/30/13 We played a FFA on this last night, it was sized well. Allowing for some frantic action in the upper middle area, yet still giving the player options for less crowded routes around the bottom and in the bases. I still think that the weapon set could be toned down a bit, seems to be a lot of power weapons but that did create a fun gameplay experience in FFA…
Yeah it's a very good FFA map, I really enjoyed the FFA last night- very fast and there are lots of routes to take to flank other players and not many spots where you can hold out for long by yourself. The rockets are a constant pull to the centre and in a great risk/reward spot. I did see a few people leap to their deaths but then that's what the death-pit is there for, to punish the foolhardy. With any less people though it doesn't seem as fluid, it's quite big. Lets play another ctf on here.
