I have HD .wmv clips, I drag them in WMM and the sound is unsynced, and the video is slow. That being said, I don't know where I can cut the video to edit it right. I tried other programs and the video is still slow when I import it. When I save it a a .mov file and upload to youtube its perfect. the ****..

It's likely because it's HD and, I'm not sure what your computer is like, but it may not be able to process them properly together. If you make a file and it's unsynced in WMM, but when you save it and watch it outside of WMM and it's in sync, then it's definitely a processing issue. There's not much you can do about this apart from doing your editing on a better computer or cutting the quality down a bit to improve performance.

I would say it is because that you are using WMM. I use Premier Pro CS6. I'm sure you don't have the money for it, but you can get Sony Vista or an older version of Premier for cheap or free. With Premier you can move the audio and the movie so that they can get in sync, not to mention everything else . I would just advise you to throw out WMM and get a better movie editor.

That's about the same that I currently have. Try a different editor. WMM is okay for starting out, but as a high definition editor it falls short. I also never use WMV files, probably for this reason. Where did you get these HD WMV files from? Capture card?

I'm pretty sure its your processor and RAM. Both are.. are... "kinda" under par for editing.

WMM will be part of your issues
Vista will be part of your issues
3GB (of what will be DDR, so slow) RAM
    Really slow CPU.

The only thing you could do really is upgrade. Or use the video scrubber to figure out where you want to be, then cut and render to check, before making any corrections and checking again.

    That's all I can suggest

I use similar specs and it worked out fine for the most part. The problem with him is definitely the slow program WMM.

I tried VideoPad, I use that to add my audio when I have a .mov clip. The clips where oringinally .mp4 but converted to .wmv. What program would you suggest, also this computer isnt mine to upgrade and modify as my own.

Converted is a weird way of saying it, I guess it's correct, since the raw file is natively .h264 but it's not like I can play said file in anything but the capture program. I exported it as WMV.

Try a trial of videostudio pro X5. I use X3, and it's a vast improvement on WMM. It's the best (if not only) advanced editor that is easy to use for the (apologies for being rude here) less competent editor.
