Jupiterminal By: HA I have just & Rogue Shaddo The most fun you'll ever have on Orbital. Guaranteed! YouTube - Jupiterminal: A Halo 3 Racetrack Three laps o' fun. Jupiterminal was originally designed and created by HA I have just. He showed me the map, and I went through and retouched almost everything and added a few things here and there to make it look cleaner, flow smoother, and play better. The end product, while not as visually impressive as a Sandbox track, is very fun and very addictive. Track Layout Starting straightaway; First Ramp (from Attacker Base) First U Turn (by Rocket ledge) The Jump Bounce w/ Momentum Maintainer Down the Stairs to Straightaway Second U Turn (Defender's Base) Second Ramp; Straightaway (from Defender's Base) Third U Turn; Checkpoint (below Rocket ledge) Up the Stairs to Straightaway Final U Turn; Start (Attacker's Base) Anyway, I really enjoy racing on this track, as does everyone who plays it with me, so I thought I would share it with you guys. Happy Trails! Raceway Jupiterminal
damn it. i was expecting a big twisty map on orbital, that woulda been cool, tho impossible without the req. objects. i have one question, is it fluid? it looks so but the oly real way tho make sure is to try it out so i guess ill do that. ill dl and get back after my grandma's birthday party, shes 70 lmao.
I just checked it out and this is the best track on Orbital I have seen yet. I like the fact that you can maintain so much speed throughout the whole race. Great use of shield doors and grav lifts. I really enjoyed racing around it by myself. I did not get a chance to try it in a party yet. I see that you only have six mongooses on the map. It would have been cool to try Battle Snipes on this map, but I am not sure if it will work so great with only six mongooses. Anyway, the map was fun & I will have fun racing this with some friends.
Or watch the video... The spawns aren't set up for Battletracks, but I guess you could try it. I thought it was intense enough as is without people getting shot left and right. Also, the Mongoose spawn is already cramped, so extra spawns/Mongooses would require a complete redo of that, and I don't know where I would have room to do it. I'm glad you guys like it. It has been one of my favorites since HA first showed it to me.
If you have any doors or other objects of the sort, you could make the spawn have a second level so the now eight mongooses could be spaced out enough for a suitable Battle Tracks spawn. What would play on it though? Battle Swords? Battle Magnums?
The map looks very fun, and FAST! The shield door are placed perfectly, and you perfectly interlocked/merged objects to create a fluid racetrack. But the hallways looks a little narrow and I believe this would make it difficult to play with alot of players and/or pass them up.
And I didn't think a fast paced track on orbital was possible Heres to proving me wrong! Downloaded and will be playing tommorow
...LOL WHY? nan searously, looks preaty cool worth DL but not much space left in my costom maps and games... gess ill just not dL...
That's a good idea. If you guys get a Battletracks game going on it, invite me or let me know how it plays, and if it's decent, I'll work on the starting spawns.
I took a look at the map in forge and there is actually a shelf above the mongooses. You can put four up there and four on the bottom. You would need to make a wall or some item to help launch the mongooses off at the correct angle if you were to put them on the top shelf. Again, fun map. The smoothest on Orbital so far.
I actually tried that, but like you said, the Mongooses drop their nose too much. I suppose I could try and move some of the doors around and put a couple up there. I'll update the link if I can get it to work. Edit: The spawns and Mongooses are now set up for Battletracks. The link has been updated. Thanks.
Lol reminds me when he showed me this when he was in the process of making it I did almost everything you but we didn't save it and we said screw it lol. Anyways nice job hope you had his permission though he is on vacation atm.
Just in my opinion, I would have taken half or more of the assists to make it better for more skilled racing, preferably for tournaments. Good job though!
