Progress Report: 02/26/11 The map's coming along nicely, with the top of the building and the connecting passages through the oil refinery coming together nicely. Most of this is just draft work atm, but I'm sure the general structure will make the final cut. Also, to overcome space issues, the oil drum section has been changed slightly to include an Elite spawn point for phase 3, featuring a Banshee!
I think Cargo Port was a better area in general, but I think everyone will be pleasantly surprised with how well this ends up playing. We learned a lot with Cargo Port, and that will definitely reflect in this map. Also, this map should support 6v6 Invasion when all is said and done.
Saweet, another invasion map by you two crazy guys. Its looks really nice so far, and can't wait to check it out. I dont know from this point what i would like better. This or Cargo Port. Well, as we haven't updated in a few days, heres a peak at how the map is looking now. We still have almost $5000 in budget!
Awwww, what?! I came in here expecting to see an update and the map was almost finished and stuff. But noooo, Psycho and Matt havfe to be lazy. +Psycho's bandwidth is messed up. Way to ruin it guys. Way to go. ... But seriously, can we get an update?
We haven't been lazy man, we decided that the idea wasn't worth pursuing. The map was essentially just too linear and it was basically just one big chokepoint in the middle of the building and a massive ledge for one team to snipe anyone else from. We're taking the bits that we liked from this and are designing a new original map based on that location. We might post some details once we get some more work done.
Yes please do post details on the next project. I thought this one looked pretty cool, but I am sure you guys will come up with something pretty shnazzy for the next one.
