I never played it but from the critics reviews it was a huge let down of a game. Ubisoft was given unlimited range to create a game taking place on the Planet/Moon Pandora, to incorporate a greedy company RDA, so you go along as a merc for this company. Like the movie your a marine, you blow everything up that gets in your path and your payed to kill all things. Well then you use your avatar and you can choose from this point. Be a Na'vi and help protect the planet or stay as a marine and blow **** up. The game is dull, quickly put togeher and not quite as thought out as one would hope. Review making it out to be bad Review making it out to be good It really is a shame, this movie and the way Cameron let them have free roam to do what ever they want is crazy. They make a game like this when they could have done so much better. Granted the graphics are amazing due to a tweaked crysis engine that made Far Cry famous. But still this setting is crazy amazing they could have done so much and didn't. I wish someone else would pick this up and create a good game. Regardless of the review i am going to rent this game then edit my opinion but this is what the critic said. But then again some critics hailed the movie as huge waste of money so yeah.
Well, if you think of it this way, many games off of movies or the other way around don't to well very often. Although it is disappointing to see such a good movie make a game into something bad. The movie seemed to create some great potential for a game like this in my opinion.
The problem I have with this game is that there is no way the game could live up to the high definition glory that is the movie, especially when seen in iMax.
