I wanted to create a map that didn't do the racing for you. By that, I mean I wanted the driver to use some skill in turning, braking, and timing things. The hill to the top looks simple, but when you race it, you will find a little timing is in order to get to the top the fastest. That being said, it doesn't require you to be the best mongoose racer, just to use the skills we all have inside us. How long did it take to create? -It took me about 14 hours or so. I kept having to make changes and such. I took about another 2 hours tweaking and testing. I would make things, then tear them down or go in a different direction. I took another two or three hours fixing errors for the second version and adding things in. What aspect took the longest to get right? - No one thing really took a lot longer than another. I would just say trying to put everything together and getting a little bit of my forging ability back. The longest part was the thinking of my ideas. and constantly changing them. I went through a few ideas for creating the garage and how to start out the race. That aspect would have to be the longest creating and testing process. This map looks really good from teh youtube video. The interlocking is clean and smooth. Also, teh track is pretty original. I would DL, but my xbox live is broken. =( Keep up teh good work

wow this is probobly one of the best maps i have evar seen. the asthetics,great.gameplay,awesome. it just looks fun from the pics. great post.
Thanks for all the positive feedback. I was worried how this map was going to turn out. I got the hill idea from a a mix of motorcross games and things like need for speed. The part where you go flying up the hill and the lift off the ground some. Then I made it so you would hit the next hill in front of you if you didn't time it right, causing you to loose momentum. I am glad everybody enjoys this map. I was going for fun gameplay and less of looks for this one. All though, I did try to make it look as good as possible.

I didn't think it was all that short. It is as long as most other racetracks on foundry. Thanks for the comments. I tried to spruce that part of the track up, hence the "cave part".
It took a little while to make, and then a little more time to fix minor errors. This is the second version. The first one was called rock crawler. I changed the name because people thought it was stupid. I am posting the response to your other post here so I don't bump that topic anymore. I am wanting it to die.
